Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by Omooba77(op): 4:18pm On Oct 11
The Lagos-Calabar coastal road project would no longer go through the coast after Lagos and Ogun states. Instead, it would detour inland through Edo State to join the East-West Road. Engr Umahi calls this "a wonderful engineering decision by Mr President"

Hahahahahahahahaha!

When we said it was a coastal highway of fraud, they called us bitter losers.
Today, we have been vindicated

Where are the tata boys?

They should come out and defend this one. We’re waiting!

But on a serious note, Tinubu just came to scam Nigerians

APC Timlubu and scam.
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by CodeTemplar:
After fixing the troublesome portion of East-West road and realizing the similarities of this work to the Lagos-Calabar coastal landscape, the reactionary, chop-make-i-chop, Tinubu empire is restrategizing. Lol.

After 2027, he can rescind the restrategization. Lol

Clowns. Is Tinubu an Engineer to be credited with Engineering decision that's infact a re-strategization of the choping effort of the Yekini empire?

When this coastal high way of fraud started we that are smart thinkers asked Umahi for the Environmental Impact Assessment.
We also advised that Tinubu should leave the coastal road and fix the already existing East West road. That coastal road would need over 100 bridges in Bayelsa because of the swampy nature of Bayelsa.
Data and empty barrels like Yarimo,Helinues, FSB operator were here ranting.
Today we have been justified.

They will debunk this tomorrow. I told someone not too long that coastal road is alternative road to Lekki-Epe and it will not go beyond Lagos and Ogun. The one coming from Calabar will not go beyond Akwa-Ibom..It is unfortunate Nigerians are being swindled, a project with no drawings or budgets. grin grin grin grin
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by dondigi(m): 5:26pm On Oct 11
I was waiting to see how the coastal road would traverse the many tributaries / swampy terrain of the Niger Delta. These people dey use our head. Chaii
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by AMINDA: 5:36pm On Oct 11
Donald Duke predicted this a few months ago, and Tinubu lackeys came for his head. After the election (IF Tinubu wins), they will tell you the road can no longer go beyond Lagos and the Southwest.
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by Dogalmighty17: 5:45pm On Oct 11
He is silent about the main part. Since the road will not be 700km anymore, but lesser than that, is the government still paying 15 trillion for it?
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by Omooba77(op): 5:48pm On Oct 11
Nlfpmod, this is unprofessional and lack of planning...... It means no Environmental Assessment was done......
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by glolomoh: 5:59pm On Oct 11
This is the result when you think you know it all and intolerant of opinions or suggestions from others. Such empty arrogance will always result to reversal, amendments here and there which will ultimately lead to zero achievement.

The coastal highway is gigantic enough to warrant presidential consultative meetings with various experts and draw idea from them. Gone were the days when President Obasanjo will hold such meeting and aired on NTA. Migration from asphalt road model to concrete road model is not something Umahi will wake up from his bed and start executing without proper expertise consultation.

Now, almost 4 years down the lines, nothing tangible has been achieved. Old roads in shamble, new road cannot come on board because they were not properly planned, thus making the execution a nightmare.

I see many abandoned road project started by Umahi loading.

Same way Umahi was sycophantic about Buhari and even renamed the Ebonyi airport after Buhari which Buhari declined and renamed after Late Chuba Okadigbo. As soon as Buhari handed over power, he claimed Buhari never did anything for the East.
Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by tuoyoojo(m): 6:55pm On Oct 11
So what was the need to spend all those monies in the first place building a new road when they could have rehabilitated the other roads

This is what happens when greed and misplaced priorities meets with reality

When tulumbu started this white elephant 🐘 project, common sense directed that he should have spent that money on road rehabilitation

They would have way spent less way less on the road rehabilitation and would have had something to campaign about

Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by samuelson06(m): 6:58pm On Oct 11
This was meant for the development of SW. I knew from inception that the so-called coastal highway won't go far. From inland it'll be nothing/discontinued. At least, the SW got it. It's fine. Nigeria can move on. Life na turn by turn.
