Which discount to other marketers? Government owned NNPC is selling at production cost with Government paying them nothing!

The mumu is kind of right.

It is Trump's fault for attacking Iran. I think Saudi Arabia stopped exporting diesel out of fear of being hit.

The government just needs to do a few things, but greed won't let bat do them.

Since your budget benchmark is $65, sell crude to local refiners at $70 per barrel. You will still make a little money and stay within your budget estimates for revenue.

Then secure your borders. Ensure smuggling is reduced to an extent where it cannot affect domestic use within Nigeria.

...and as usual, FG would blame it on the US - Iran War. Another trick could be, so that when they will announce the 1350 price, they will now fan themselves for a job well-done.
One of them up there had started blaming Trump.

We will buy a litre of fuel for 2500 at least by Christmas. This is not Tinubu. This is all Trump. Right now, another carrier strike group is headed towards Iran. Making it a total of 3 carrier strike groups the US has in the gulf. America intends to fully resume bombing Iran. They have pushed Israel to do so as well but Israel has developed cold feet.

Trump is waiting for the midterm elections in November to be over then he will attack Iran again. The Iranians know this and they are building ballistic missiles faster than before. It is no coincidence that the Houthis sent a missile to strike a Saudi airport yesterday. They Houthis are being given the technology for precision targeted strikes. Certainly not by Iran. Either Russia or China. The same Russia Trump is desperate to please.

If the US goes ahead with the coming strikes, oil will not leave the middle east as Iran has begun targeting tankers beyond the strait of Hormuz in a clear message to Donald Trump.

We all know that when faced with a good and bad decision to make, Trump makes the worst one. This Christmas will be the roughest any of us will witness.
Tune your TV station to the west and see the present rate of fuel, compare with what it was just before February.

Before Trump and his war, our fuel had settle somewhere around 680 naira.

Stop bothering yourself with those supporting Tinubu. The ultimate mission for the majority of Nigerians is simply to VOTE OUT Tinubu and his wickedness come January 2027.

If they had to offer discount then the price Dangote buys crude oil has to also have discount. It's an open market if NNPC is selling at a discount how would a private refinery make their money back?
Re: MRS, Other Nigerian Filling Stations Increase Petrol Pump Price To ₦1,409 by Didi2d(m): 7:52pm On Oct 11
Wickedness as usual from Nigerian marketers, just because the government through nnpc wants to reduce fuel price, wicked people don sharply increase their own

Our having DR is probably why we do not have queues. Crude oil is sound at international price, we do not set the prices.

Re: MRS, Other Nigerian Filling Stations Increase Petrol Pump Price To ₦1,409 by flokii: 9:02pm On Oct 11
My advice to President Bola Tinubu is to activate the "fines and sanctions" mechanism of Governance against these rogues in the petroleum sector.. one thing I have observed over the years is the absence of sanctions in the Nigerian Governance system. It's the reason inflation is taking over and petrol prices are being hiked.

President Tinubu should charge the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) alongside the FCCPC to draw up heavy fines for corporate entities (new or existing) operating in Nigeria. When I mean fines, I'm talking of billions of naira for erring firms to be reconsidered and reinstated as legally recognized business entity in Nigeria.

This I'm afraid is the only way to restore order in Nigeria's business environment.. from a Yoruba to another Yoruba man, this is the only solution as far as Nigeria is concerned.

Chai… even with this high price, some filling stations still dey alter their pumps.
You go pay ₦10,000, the meter go show full litres, but na only ₦7,000–₦8,000 worth of fuel go enter your tank. Pure theft.
NMDPRA (and the monitoring teams) wey suppose check these pumps regularly either no dey function well, or some of them dey collect settlement and look away. Make una brace up, jungle don mature
