It is terrible, how Nig. Govt makes decisions and call it good then reverse it and also call it good. Tinubu is a terrible policy maker. |

clarocuzioo:Yes o, this was how you smart thinkers foresaw and claimed that the Dangote Refinery was never going to see the light of the day🤣🤣 Even though I don’t support this decision for cutting off the Ondo’s riverine communities (the real coastal region) to cut inland into Edo, have you listened to their reasons for this decision or you are just yapping without your oblongata as always? Firstly, they are doing this in order to make the road useful and accessible to more communities and people and also considering the financial implications, it’s cheaper. I just blame the so called Engineers (and Umahi esp) for not doing their due diligence right from start. |

I was so afraid for this project. The east West road and the coastal highway is a duplication. I am happy with the realignment. Makes sense. |

Konjiboii:Nigerians are very docile people, we are too submissive, these political looters have succeeded in suppressing and defeating Nigerians. The last attempt by Nigerian youths in EndSars 2020 was the time they finally defeated the Nigerian youths and now Nigerians are nothing but conquered people being herded to a gloomy future by gang of political treasury looters |

I saw this criminality from the very day it was announced. There is no way this project is going to come to fruition when you consider the stakes. The coastal areas in the Niger Delta is filled with mangrove forest. The River tributaries alone is enough to abandon the idea of a coastal road because you are going to construct nothing less than 100 bridges. Again, along the coastal areas, you the sea ports and many other infrastructure of national importance. Were they go to pull all of that infrastructure to the ground just so a coastal road could have its way? So, the question is, Who is expecting a criminal nonchalant Nigeria's govt to embark on such a project and complete it with the rate of poverty in this country and massive borrowing? Only Tinubu's slaves like Ben Murray Bruce and other APC psycophants actually believed it. ![]() |

So they didn't consider all these before planning the coastal road? They way they baptize their failures is what makes all these things funny. A wonderful engineering decision by a balablu accountant. .Instead of using the money for that road to invest in the power sector and fix all other existing roads they decided to embark on this white elephant project. |

| Re: Lagos-calabar Coastal Road Will No Longer Pass Some Coastal Areas by Queengee: 7:18pm On Oct 11 |
Tinubu’s Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road was supposed to open up the Southwest’s coastline to development. Now the route is reportedly being diverted inland through Edo State. So what happened to the coastal communities this project was meant to serve? How can Umahi call this “a wonderful engineering decision” without explaining who loses out? You cannot promise coastal development and then move the road inland without answering to the people you made that promise to. Nigerians deserve answers, not political praise. |
