Nicki Minaj just dropped a real one and Nigerians are already buzzing. During an X Takeover event at Tesla’s Giga Texas facility in Austin, the global rap star opened up about her personal connection to Nigeria and why she has been speaking out about the treatment of Christians in the country.

She kept it simple and direct: “For Nigeria personally, my pastor is from Nigeria, so I have a link to Nigeria because of him. And of course, I have a lot of Nigerian Barbz, but what I started seeing was the brutality with which Christians are being treated there just for being Christian.”

Nicki said the reports of violence really disturbed her. She started asking herself why the issue was not getting more attention, noting that people often stay quiet when something is not considered “cool” to talk about. She made it clear she is not backing down and is hoping more celebrities and influencers will join her in speaking up.

“So right now, actually, I’m hoping that more celebrities or people, influencers, I’m hoping that they come aboard the train to start speaking out about what’s happening to Christians in Nigeria. And I look forward to doing more to help in that way, in that cause,” she added.

The short clip has been making the rounds, and many Nigerians are reacting with a mix of surprise and appreciation. Some are happy to hear that a global star like Nicki has a Nigerian pastor and feels connected to the country through both him and her large fan base here. Others are simply glad that someone with her platform is refusing to stay silent.

Whatever your take is, one thing is clear — Nicki Minaj is using her voice, and she wants more people in the entertainment space to do the same.

Everyone in Nigeria is a Christian, whether Churchgoer or Muslim, we are all Christians

Ephesians 2:20-22

Nigeria will be saved: All Israel will be saved

The Muslim Muslim ticket just dey carry Nigeria go where them no know

Nigerians don’t even care about what’s going on, they are ok with the insecurity. They believe as long as it has not happened to them directly everything is fine and the country is perfectly safe, so Nicki don’t waste your time speaking up for people who don’t want to even speak for themselves. People who claim there are no attacks and no insecurity issues in Nigeria. The security agencies are on top of everything they’ve got it sorted out.
Meanwhile Nigerians can no longer go out after 10pm, they can no longer travel by road from Lagos to Jigawa or ph to sokoto even Lagos to Calabar Abi Abia Corpers are getting kidnapped and having to pay ransom how much less Kaduna, maiduguri, and those regular hotspots. Nigeria is gone.

Who is her pastor?? He's likely collecting offerings from her in dollars 🤑 here in Nigeria.

I hope he's instilling godliness in her though.

I know it's Arome, I just can't prove it

Just glad that these are the type of individuals that have now become the face of Christianity.
Speaking about a fictitious none-existent Christian genocide. Meanwhile, Muslims in the North a being killed daily by terrorists without anyone to speak for them.

Lolz, wonders shall never end.
Imagine being deceived by a pastor that God sent to save you from your sins.

Minaj ask that your pastor if what he is saying is truth tell him to provide evidence both audio and video that says under Tinubu their is a christain genocide pls I need the evidence and the number killed so far cus they are Christains?

Minaj ask that your pastor in his region how many have be killed simply cus they are Christains since Tinubu got to power?

Minaj ask your pastor to tell you is the killing focus on Christains or land grabbing? Cus their is different etween christains genocide and fighting to grab land.

I'm a Christain full blooded one but I don't allow emotion and political h8tred to overshadow my reasoning capacity.
