Honda cars that have builds that tend to look like they are falling apart and need body work when they get a bit older or used in a rugged or abusive way like most Nigerian car users.


They is this joke about Honda cars not liking stress and mostly used by Northerners because they have better roads and don't punish cars like other regions. Niam you dey say get better build?

The Hondas I have driven don't have better handling o.

I used to buy cars and resale them some years ago. So I'm taking from my own personal experience and judgement and not Dem say which many nigerians are fond of.


The only thing I would agree with you is most Honda interior being better. Toyota interiors are bland and bare with nothing special or significant about them.

At 51 and someone who has been in car business for close to 30 years you don't dispute what I told you about Honda and Toyota cars. To save both of us the precious time of arguing endless just do your research or type why Honda is better than Toyota cars into Google and paste the results here.

If you said Honda cars have fragile body then you have not been following, 1993 Honda Accord are still being used for transportation in Benin City, I also saw a very sharp Honda Baby boy (2000 Accord ) in Surulere last week, Honda has one of the best body of all Japanese cars.

Like I said Honda cars have way better engaging driving and handling than any Toyota cars, the VTec engines are build to Rev higher which makes them fun to drive.

This is quite a naive statement to make, favorite car brand is more a thing of choice which may be influenced by the preferable brand in your local environment.

It is not the way most countries in black Africa value Toyota that the Toyota brand is valued in Europe, Other brands are more popular on european roads.

Another example of the influence of the trend in your local environment, is the Taxi Micro environment of german speaking Europe, there was a time when the choice brand for Taxis was Mercedes but now Toyota hybrid vehicles has already taken over.

Moreso, Nigerian owners love to abuse their vehicles and the Toyota brand gladly accepts all manner of abuse so it's loved very much.

Toyota makes everything very basic without over engineering so the knowledge curve to aspiring auto mechanics is not too steep.

It's not about the spare parts. In overseas where most people have enough money to buy spare parts they don't even rate Mercedes Benz for reliability. It's only in Nigeria where people rate Mercedes Benz high.

Bro, we have to face reality here. Nothing beat Toyota o.

Whether the love for it is due to our bad road or affordable parts or resale value..etc. nothing still come close. If you are DIY fan, you can even repair or change some parts in Toyota easily.
