I said it here earlier that Duke was just trying to get some attention for his presidential ambition. I can bet you that he loves thr project. |

mcquin:All that is political statement. Any engineer that’s telling you roads can’t be constructed there is an Oluwole engineer. Terrains that are worst that those of Bayelsa are been constructed. Are there no engineers and equipment again? Even in that Niger-Delta region, there are roads and bridges constructed in those swampy areas. It’s a matter of clearing and land preparation, before sinking proper structure they have designed to match the terrain. It will only be more costly than dry land. More so, a long stretch of the road may have to be continuous, like that of Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos. This may warrant non-stop driving and people in such area may not be able to interact with road users. Come abroad and see projects that are 2 trillion times challenging than ordinary road we are building there and you will be surprised they did it. People condemning the road are oppositions and those faiv plots owners. It’s because the road won’t pass through their states. Don’t forget that the road will be tolled o. Hitech, other investors and FG have to recoup their money because it’s a joint venture. |
| Re: Ben Murray-Bruce Writes Letter To Donald Duke About The Coastal Road by VanuatuWycombe: 2:28pm On Oct 17 |
divine010:All you wrote is trash. Even the abroad you look on to and everywhere in the world, there has always been a preferred bidder. So, not allowing other contractors to bid didn’t mean they would have gotten it ahead of Hi-tech. Julius Berger is the only contractor that can still bid on that project and FG knows it will be too costly, since Hi-tech has done similar projects in the past. I do not say Tinubu doesn’t have special interest in Hi-tech o. All I know is that he believes Hi-tech has the competence and can bring the equipment and expertise needed and still cost less than Julius Berger. For environmental impact assessment, those that will be affected are fishes and other marine habitats. That project can’t cause flooding or displacement to fishermen around there. Those that will leave will be compensated. Nigerian government is not broke. You don’t know governments’ purse. That projected is being funded by IFC, Hi-tech and our FG. Our government doesn’t have up 25% of that project as funding. Leave them. Let them construct it for people to enjoy and make Nigeria development from it. Once completed, those investors know how to recoup their money, while developments take place along those corridors. Do you know how many fillings stations that will set up on that road? What of vulcanizer, motels, palm wine joints, bush meet sellers, motor park, residential properties, factories, farmlands and other consequential advantages it will bring like movement of goods and services? Another longer Third Niger bridge will have to be constructed and you can imagine what that alone will cost. Norway, in my backyard here, is constructing word’s deepest tunnel— just to link 2 cities and reduce travel time. Nigeria can’t spend 5% of what Norway is spending on that tunnel. Euro Tunnel was built inside the ocean to link UK and France. Why didn’t people complain that it’s a waste of resources? Today, people are praising the initiatives and enjoying the advantage of such project. As I type, Europe is building roads and tunnels that will link Southern Europe to Northern Europe— very humongous project but nobody is complaining. The only tough area of the project is the swampy area and all the concrete will be precast and bolted together. So, it will be faster than you think. The project has gone beyond 80km, as you have claimed. Lagos side of the project alone is more than 100km completed. Calabar side is progressing. It is only God that can stop Tinubu from clinching second term. So why not allow the guy to do his bit? Or are you from one of those plots of land ni? |

Na wetin dem feed you with in your Obi’s movement wasap group una dey try regurgitate here. I just finished watching an updated video of the construction. It is at 87km, from Lagos section, though not all installation is completed but the road itself is motorable. It has even progressed beyond that 87km. |

it is feasible but at a needless economic cost; take for instance, the current Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, whose replacement cost is estimated at N6.3 Trillion naira (https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/more-news/814629-3rd-mainland-bridge-contract-not-yet-awarded-fg.html) because of the water separation between the two landmasses of the mainland and the island. In the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Feasibility studies show that you will probably encounter the need to bridge the various landmasses separated by water with not less than the equivalent of 30 Third Mainland Bridges. So multiply 30 times N6.3 Trillion Naira, apart from the money. It will take a minimum of 3 years to build 1 Third Mainland Bridge. To simultaneously build 30 equivalent Third Mainland Bridges, you will need a massive amount of engineering machinery, Manpower, Logistics etc to deliver 30 bridges in 3 years. mcquin: |

seyenko:You see the problem with most of these Tinubu supporters is that they don't read into things, they don't look beyond the surface they just run with the info apc feed them Just like Tinubu jumped into subsidy removal without due diligence that is how he also dived into the coastal road without due diligence the probability Tinubu full tenure can't see coastal project to 50% completion is 99% sure now what is the probability next administration will want to contiinue project wey no get EIA or reliable a structural prints 760km road nd in 4yrs we have not rreach 100km, the sokoto high way 1000km that one tew we never do 200km ....for a broke nation that cant afford subsidy Do you also know according to report release on CNG, 120000 car installed and 96 CNG filling station across Nigeria on a scale assessment after 4yrs thats like scoring 1% in an exam Buh you see Tinubu supporters out of illiteracy shout CNG likes its an achievement |

divine010:So, a newspaper of December 13th, 2025 is your proof? Grow up, man! AI (machine) is learning from human. That’s why you hear what they call Machine Learning. AI will pick from both truth and falsehood people train it with. Go to YouTube and search for JUSTOZED. He just released a video, some hours ago, about the road. Concrete pavement has reached kilometer 101. |

Ben mr no sense again.Duke was right...mits an expensive project we cannot fund in 20yrs time. There are many tins more important than a road when there is already an existing one.why not reconstruct d existing one or even add railway infrastructure. Or betterstill fund health care n education adequately |

Many left quietly, while some apologised. But you? Mehn! Damn. You are beyond redemption. Continue. Im just laughing at you. So, let me laugh again. And despite written it clearly in my initial post my stand..you still went forward with your myopic stubborn mind. I dont have your time cos I have seen you are too small in your thinking capacity. If you cannot return to our exchange to se the clue I gave you but you keep making the same miatake, then, goodluck. It is so clear why you are not making progress in life. Your not moving forward is a direct result of your style of handling issues. I pray God opens your eyes to get clues fast. I pray your inner mind be better sharpened. To me, your case is sad. And you are so eager to defend it. Dem don get you well. A beg...I dont have your time anymore....goodluck. |

epainos:Ok. You've shifted from Obi now to my life. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways You don't know me so your comments about my life is discarded in the waste bin as it is off point as it is irrelevant My grouse with you which I've laid bare for you is attacking Duke for speaking up about a fraud simply because according to you his state stands to benefit so he should therefore lose all moral rights to speak If you fail to see how despicable that mindset is then it's obvious you need serious help more than I can be able to offer on this platform What is sure is that such mindset cannot help a nation grow and develop. Supporting a fraud because you think you benefit from it tangentially is what has led Africa to become the cesspit of the world and that we still have Africans like you who embrace such ideas show how far we are from becoming a 21st century nation May God save Nigeria from the enemies within posing as friends |

mcquin:. What do you expect from a failed political nuisance. The money was governor at the same time with Tinubu. Tinubu was looking for money everywhere to fund Lagos while Donald Duke was embezzling the oil money his state was getting. Now his state indegenes are all over Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt working as housemaids and gatekeepers |
