Military, DSS, police arrest five suspects over corps members’ kidnap

Operatives of the Department of State Services, the military and police on Friday arrested five suspected members of a criminal gang allegedly responsible for the abduction of 20 prospective National Youth Service Corps members in Imo State on Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day.

Three other suspected members of the gang, however, escaped with gunshot injuries, prompting a massive manhunt for them.

The suspects were apprehended during a series of intelligence-led operations conducted at different locations in Rivers and Abia states. However, in the course of the operation, three other suspects escaped with varying degrees of injury.

Security sources disclosed that the operations were carried out between October 10 and 14 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State and Aba South Local Government Area of Abia State.

This is one arrest I’ve been praying for because obidients didn’t make much noise about this very kidnap. Their muted response to the kidnap shows they have the premonition that their ESN/UGM were the likely perpetrators
I expect them to deflect and call them innocent by the time their identities are made public

Kidnappers should be killed, only a useless government spares them

Fire them in public display and watch kidnappings reduce by 90%.
Keep and feed them in your correctional facilities and watch more people go into the same trade.

you guys are sick and have refused to grow. The incident didn't last long enough for enough outcry, and there were conflicting information about kidnap location and rescue operations

Mention their names, we want to see something whether they too are people that reads holy Qur'an. According to some nairalanders only Fulanis kidnaps in Nigeria, only Muslims are terrorists and so on.

If they are not, we shall look for their religious background and do same the way they used to blame Islam on the northerners.
