Enugu Rebuilds Government Technical College To Develop Skills In Young People by Tabithatim(op): 8:00am On Oct 20
GOVERNOR PETER MBAH REBUILDS GOVERNMENT TECHNICAL COLLEGE, POSITIONS ENUGU YOUTHS FOR A TECHNOLOGY-DRIVEN FUTURE

There is something about the scale, pace and measurable impact of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah’s leadership that underscores the difference purposeful governance can make in the lives of citizens.

From roads and healthcare to education, infrastructure and economic development, Enugu State is witnessing a transformation increasingly reflected in projects, opportunities and improved public facilities.

Government Technical College (GTC) stands out as a compelling example of this transformation. Rebuilt by Governor Mbah from a dilapidated state, the institution has emerged as a modern Science, Technical and Vocational (STV) hub designed to equip young people with practical, industry-relevant skills.

The comprehensive overhaul features newly constructed academic blocks, paved internal roads and upgraded learning facilities, alongside modern ICT infrastructure and industry-grade equipment supporting robotics, mechatronics, coding and programming.

Beyond its infrastructural renewal, GTC is pioneering specialised learning pathways in Science and Technology, Building and Architecture — covering trades such as bricklaying, electrical installation, plumbing and roofing — as well as Industrial Agriculture.

The integration of a Smart Green School within the college premises further creates a pathway linking foundational education with technical and vocational training, preparing students to develop practical competencies from an early stage.

Significantly, GTC is the first of eight planned model Science, Technical and Vocational Schools, with one envisaged for each of Enugu State’s eight federal constituencies. The initiative reinforces the administration’s commitment to expanding access to technical education, nurturing innovation and building a skilled workforce capable of supporting the state’s industrial and economic ambitions.

This is more than the reconstruction of an educational institution. It is an investment in human capital, youth empowerment and the next generation of skilled professionals, innovators and entrepreneurs.

Under Governor Mbah’s leadership, the focus is not merely on building structures, but on creating opportunities, strengthening institutions and laying the foundation for sustainable prosperity.

Sometimes, the picture says it all. Look beyond the structure and see the vision, the investment and the future being built.

I SEE THIS MAN AS A FUTURE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA.

YOU CAN SEE THE MAN IS A SERIOUS PERSON WHO KNOWS HIS JOB.

A DEDICATED, FOCUSED ADMINISTRATOR AND TECNOCRAT JUST LIKE TINUBU.

WHEN THE SE PRODUCES A CANDIDATE LIKE THIS, SAY IN 8 YEARS TIME, NIGERIANS WILL GLADLY VOTE HIM IN.

technical colleges need to be taken more serious, enough of SSCE holders with no skill. home econs, intro tech and agric should be compulsory from junior to senior high

This is why I got really pissed off when I hear anyone talk about voting another candidate for Enugu state governorship election next year! God will never allow the agents of backwardness to succeed in dragging Enugu back from the enviable height Peter Mbah has placed the state on.

I beg you, dear governor! Even if it is rigging, please rig to ensure you go back to office because some people in the state are not informed enough to understand the benefits of all your noble projects! I don't trust the number of sane people in our state and that's why I'm encouraging you to do anything to get back into office to consolidate your great projects o!

Imagine having a stark illiterate like Uche Nnaji as governor! God forbid!

I pity you... he'll struggle to win reelection unless he rigs, that same school PTA is petitioning him for not seeing facilities he claims the school has, students can't even use common computers cause it's not turned on and would probably be returned...the 300k plus fees, who can afford it?..a school that was affordable for all previously
