Get road safety to tow the vehicle away and make the driver to pay for the service. It is as easy as that, that is what will be done in any civilised society name the US,China,Canada etc.It is common sense. |

Umahi really got it wrong here. Not sure if they created spaces on the demarcation for situations like this to enable cars move to the other side. But if there was no space created on the demarcation, then this demarcation is a total flaw |

This is totally avoidable. Maybe this is a good time for them to break the ridiculous demarcation. |

Well, I'm no expert on the matter but situations like this are why government officials must live in their state and use the amenities their fellow citizens use. I imagine if the minister used this bridge regularly or it leads to somewhere important to him, some things wouldn't have been done or some changes would have been made. Let the best thing be done on this matter and let people live their lives. I can only imagine the suffering motorists and commuters will be going through. |

heysquare:So you mean, people intentionally spoil their Trucks/Vehicles anywhere? This clearly proves that, you don't own a Car and no one own a Car in your family. |

Lol don't be fooled. They are testing their game plan for 2027 If you cannot see the traps being set for Peter Obi by the government then you are naive. The demarcation of Niger bridge, deliberate abandonment of Benin expressway, destruction of Agbor road and the bringing back election date from February to January 16 all points to one thing... Systematic disenfranchisement of Peter Obi's base Here is how it will unfold. 1. By 16th January Igbos should be in their villages celebrating the new year. Many igbo voters are registered outside their villages many are in Lagos, Abuja, Kano etc and trust an igbo man, he must travel by end of the year. So once they move coming back becomes a problem 2. The journey back will be hit with massive gridlock, a truck will be placed on Niger bridge saying it spoilt, the bad Benin and Agbor road will further frustrate people keeping you on the road for almost a week. 3. Trust me there will be an artificial fuel scarcity that travelling back may cost above 100k coupled with the bad road, both buses and flights will be super expensive With these many pple will get stuck and choose to wait it out there by causing a huge disenfranchisement of Obi's voting block |

floss:Is this how united you guys will be in your Biafra? |
| Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by Nefort(m): 9:29am On Oct 21 |
oglalasioux:So you want the vehicles behind the faulty truck to sleep there for hours until the truck is repaired? |
| Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by Nefort(m): 9:33am On Oct 21 |
ajalawole:So towing vehicle will have to keep driving backwards slowly until it gets to the distant point of the faulty vehicle? |

Typing:A frustrated or bitter person would always reasoned illogically. Common sense should let you understand that people needs to service their vehicles time to time and I even stated in my comments that former governor of Lagos state did this and with that it drastically reduces numbers of broken down vehicles on the roads and that savage the hectic traffic jam experience in Lagos then. Can you tell me me that in a developed countries vehicle can just broke down unnecessarily the it happened in Nigeria. If you can't maintain a vehicle go get a bicycle abeg. I knew you have a jaloping you call a car that is why you think nobody owns a car in my family ! Poor boy |
| Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by Mrexcell(m): 5:42pm On Oct 21 |
KillahPriest:That demarcation will definitely be removed if tinibu looses next year. |
| Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by KillahPriest: 7:36pm On Oct 21 |
Mrexcell:it should not be a matter of politics, this is clearly a design error which is relatively cheap to rectify. All the works ministry needs to do is get a pay loader, flat bed trucks and evacuate those things overnight. A can or two of reflective paint will handle the rest same night so why do we deliberately make things difficult for ourselves even in the most mundane things ? Sick country |

heysquare:You have never own a Car. If you do, you won't spew this traash. For your information, even brand new cars can break down. Alot of factors can make a car breakdown. It could be a an error from the manufacturer. Some times, car makers recall a particular model of their car due to factory error. It could be due to an accident. It could also be due to negligence from the mechanic that service the vehicle. |
| Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by heysquare(m): 11:01am On Oct 22 |
Typing:So because of your own illogical reasoning govt shouldn't do what will protect other road users from avoidable and unnecessary stress. Can you say this in developed countries |
| Re: Spoilt Truck Blocks Niger Bridge, Causes Gridlock by Typing: 1:54pm On Oct 22 |
heysquare:I asked you a simple question and you are yet to answer me? You don't own a CAR. You don't even know what you are talking about. Wait till you are able to own your own car. That's when you can debate this topic with me. Do you know the reason why every Governor has two official vehicles within his convoy and he goes to everywhere with the two vehicles? The reason is because, if the one he is being driven in break down, the second one will be used to move him to his destination. Even though, all Governors cars are brand new cars. Yet, they know they can develop fault and disappoint at any time. That's why they make provision for two official cars. Even abroad, new vehicles and old ones break down, |
