My first experience of it was in 2002. I was traveling inside a car own by a neighbor of ours down from Warri to Lagos.
He stopped at Ore for us to eat. I ordered for Eba and egusi soup and they put one very big fish which I didn't know its name then.
As I was eating, I decided to cut a little from the fish. Everything just turn to wet papers in my hand. It scattered inside the soup. I took a little inside my mouth and the taste was like something that's half done. I asked our neighbor what type of fish is this and he said catfish.
I rejected it at once and told them to give me goat meat instead.
That was how my hatred for catfish began.
Anytime I see people eating it, I always feel like throwing up.

I once told someone that no matter the pepper they use in preparing it, I will still vomit if I eat it. So that experience is still inside my memory
