"Nigerians Don't Want Emilokan, Makinde Mocks Tinubu by Rapmoney(op): 9:41pm On Oct 22
The Allied Peoples Movement, APM, presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, on Thursday, criticised President Bola Tinubu’s popular “Emi Lokan” slogan ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Makinde said Nigerians did not need “turn-by-turn nepotism”, arguing that voters should be free to decide who becomes the country’s next president in 2027.

The Oyo State governor spoke during the APM’s town hall meeting in Akure, Ondo State.

According to Makinde, “How can someone say, ‘Eemi lokan’, in a country like Nigeria? You were given the opportunity. If you recall the 1999 presidential election, the South-West voted massively for Baba Olu Falae, but the rest of Nigerians voted for Baba Obasanjo. So, this is not an issue that only the South-West can resolve; it is an issue we must address collectively as Nigerians.

“We do not want ‘turn-by-turn nepotism’, nor do we want a situation where people say, ‘I will vote for projects because it is my turn’. You will not finish those projects, and when it becomes someone else’s turn, they will do the same thing. We will end up with a Nigeria where we cannot get value for the resources belonging to Nigerians.

“The Reset Nigeria agenda is about building a country where infrastructure development supports economic growth and addresses the concerns of young people and women.

“Once we fix our economy, no zone will be left behind, and no demographic group will be left behind".

Hmmm! The opposition's campaign seems to be deeply rooted in insulting the President. The focus should be on their plan and how they plan to accomplish same. That was how the campaigns of the past panned out. Makinde can do better.

Nothing new! Heartless people with egocentric entitlement mentality have no rational reasoning or heart of empathy. No sane person should desire a wicked soul like the criminal ruling Nigeria today.
Re: "Nigerians Don't Want Emilokan, Makinde Mocks Tinubu by akinmusi(m):
I don’t know what and why people will show up for Governor Seyi Makonde. To think the southwest will go out for him and I’m not going to lie, it’s a deception cum gullibility. The real intention behind this presidential aspiration is yet to fully surface. I can tell of a truth, like Wike said SM is truly Very unpredictable and smarter than anyone can place him and he plays his cards close to his chest.

Slimlord:
he's trying to play a kwankwanso, he's trying to also did what seriake Dickson did on the low. He's trying to build a structure
I think this kind of structure viability is only a means to safeguard personal interest and cannot last the rest of time because unlike Dickson you said, people are now wary of SM.

You should know that’s when, where and how you would dine with the devil, you need a long spoon but Makinde’s case requires a longer spoon.

Re: "Nigerians Don't Want Emilokan, Makinde Mocks Tinubu by franchasofficia: 9:03am On Oct 23
Can't Tinubu see clearly that Nigerians have rejected him already?

Must he wait until he is disgraced at the polls in 2027?

Any attempt to rig 2027 Presidential election might push Nigeria into dangerous anarchy that won't augor well for those that caused it oh, people close to Tinubu should advice him now oh, his ill-fated Presidential ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian, please go home and play with your beautiful grandkids, you have achieved your lifelong dream of answering President and you have caused enough harm, please allow Nigeria breathe angry

They're still far better than demented Amoda who can't grant any live interview. He's only interested in liking microphone. These duo you mentioned are all over the place speaking to Nigerians directly. When last did Tinubu grant live interview to talk to Nigerians?
