Arewa Christians Declare Fasting, Prayers for Tinubu Ahead of 2027 Campaign Flag-Off

A northern Christian support group, Arewa Christians for Tinubu 2027 (ACT-2027), has declared a one-day fasting and prayer session for President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria ahead of its planned campaign flag-off in Kaduna.

The group also announced plans to dedicate its national secretariat in Abuja on Saturday, October 24, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen its activities across the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement dated October 22, the National Coordinator of ACT-2027, Ambassador Ayuba Jacob Ngbako, said the fasting and prayers were intended to seek divine intervention for the president and the country ahead of the 2027 political campaign season.

The dedication ceremony is scheduled to hold from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the group's national secretariat, Ogun House, No. 74, Central Business District, Abuja.

Expected guests include Right Reverend Stephen Tunde Adegbite, Archbishop John Praise Daniel, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda, Reverend Kure Wumanyi and Bishop Jonathan Maaji.

Other invitees include religious leaders, women and youth leaders, development partners and members of the press.

According to the group, the secretariat's dedication will mark the beginning of a new phase of activities focused on translating faith into development through educational support, skills acquisition, empowerment programmes, humanitarian services, peacebuilding and civic education across Northern Nigeria.

ACT-2027 describes itself as an umbrella development platform for Arewa Christians across the 19 northern states and the FCT.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to supporting development initiatives and promoting peace and civic engagement in the region.

The announcement comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, with political groups and support organisations beginning to mobilise around potential campaigns and candidates.

In your dreams 😂

You know Jagaban doesn't have rival and no vacancy in Aso Rock. This election will be easier for Asiwaju than the 2023 election.

If there are any group of people that should be against this evil government, it should be the arewa Christians, because they've really gone through a lot from this incompetent government of iragbiji dullàrd son

No Arewa Christian body can try. It's the same group of fake Tinubu bishops that must have been reassembled with token of #50k each for political propaganda in support of Tinubu. Unfortunately, many of them won't allow their children to know that they are party to the sacrilegious act of supporting a monumental failure like Tinubu. How can one be charged for transferring money to his own bank account. Moreover, the destructive tax bill which they have signed into law takes effect immediately, they come to power in 2027. OUR DUTY IS TO VOTE OUT TINUBU AND EVERYTHING APC.

Would probably be fake Arewa Christians probably moshood adeniyi , sarartu and co from ilesha posing because everything about tinubu is fake nothing real… if you say na lie because you support then who are tinubu biological parents or his real name or his brothers or primary or secondary schools he attended?
