This is my post from October 14th this year.

In recent times there has been this narrative that a person cannot be a member of a party and serve in the government that has been formed by another party. Most of the people that push this narrative do so because they hate Nyesom Wike.

There is also the narrative that you cannot be in one party and support candidates of another party. Most of the people that push this narrative try to use it to attack people like Charles Soludo and Ademola Adeleke.

None of these things are true.

On the first issue, Frederick De Klerk was the leader of the National Party of South Africa, yet he was vice president in the ANC administation of Nelson Mandela.

Chief Mangosuthu Buthelezi was the leader of the Inkatha Freedom Party, yet he was the home affairs minister in the ANC government of Nelson Mandela.

There is a legion of members of the Republican Party in the United States who served in the Democratic governments of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama.

Bola Ige was a member of the AD, but he served in the PDP government of Olusegun Obasanjo.

In fact the AD chairman later served as an adviser to Obasanjo.

Then go and look at the number of Republicans that supported Hilary Clinton in 2016 and Kamala Harris in 2024.

These are just a few examples, there are so many more in my head.

I wonder how much Tinubu gave this Adeleke man, somebody that Tinubu fought against in his reflection.

That was not accepted by the majority of the party and had to go to court to get INEC to recognise him.

Accord Party said that it won't field a presidential candidate because none of its aspirants met the deadline.

Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has sued Accord Party and INEC to force them to accept him as their candidate. He said that he was the sole candidate but the party failed to upload his name to INEC's portal.

If you are doing a good job, your work alone should be able to campaign for itself! Let your performance speak, not these emergency political coalitions.

You have just affirm what I said that you oppositions are confused, were you not the same people condemning Tinubu when he said he will not go to all the states to campaign that he will rather face governance and what you said here, was exactly what I said you oppositions will be saying if he chooses to go to all campaign grounds.

Nope. Some of the cases that I presented are appointed by a newly elected government, but some are about support during elections.

People voted for the party, the candidate and the principles of the candidate. If, for example, some Republicans believe that Donald Trump is deviating from the principles of the Republican Party and that the Democratic candidate is closer to those principles, then they can and do support the Democratic Candidate.

If, for example, AD believes that APP has principles that are closer to its principles and that it cannot win the election but APP has a better chance, then it can support the APP candidate, as happened in 1999.

By the way, don't you think that those appointees would support the government that appointed them when it's re-election time?

Osun APC have shown to be incompetent.
Firstly, they lost during Oyetola second term election, secondly they lost the state to Atiku in 2023 presidential election, they lost if I'm not mistaken, 80% of all legislative elections held in 2023 and just recently, with Oyetola as the arrow head, they lost the Osun governorship election. These has shown their incompetence and Tinubu has realised that, he can't bank on Osun APC to win the 2027 presidential election for him. He has to pitch his tent with the opponent that has won them in all of these elections. If it were you, would you do any different?

This Adaleke governor is a complete confused man.
He sure should anyway.

A governor that dances anywhere and anytime, unmindful of his surroundings, should be tagged Mr confused.

was that your campaign slogan against the incumbent governor in the recently concluded osun guber election or you just realize this since Adeleke an opposition governor decided not to be like Soludo against his own kind.?
By the way when the time comes for a South East president to emerge, I will vote a professor and former Central Bank chief over any container economy trader with a third class degree certificate. If for nothing else , that 33 million Ghanaian sharing 1.2 billion dollars to get 41 million dollars each maths scares me ! How about you though ?
