Funny thing is they're people doing way more than him but nobody to finance it or publicize them, so the dreams die quietly, to even get a job na war talkmore of getting funded, you want to know the number of developers in Nigeria wasting away? Goto job boards and see competition, even low paying jobs have thousands of applicants and they're all people who started coding very young, he's not doing anything special, this isn't meant to downplay his efforts, just saying its very common, we just didn't hear of them.

It's social media presence that is making a lot of people known this days if not a lot has happened in Nigeria unnoticed. These are part of my projects as a teenager then...1. brain systems computer club, WIEC: world Internet educational Centre, I also developed several dbase management software...e.g ewca church poultry management software, Managed ICOH-WHO management software, ICOH mean intercounty center for oral health in collaboration with world health organization, I also trained about 16,000 police in 2008, I have trained military officers in the use of Excel, currently i designed the order charges management software At ministry of foreign affairs...etc. Sorry I'm also a first stage YOUWIN winner in 2012 under President Goodluck. I can go on and on. I can give you my LinkedIn handles as well for verification. Alot of breakthrough happened before social media and some are still happening unnoticed.

Its saturated bro, and other than that, the competition is now stiff in the sense that you'll now see senior developers dragging junior development roles with upcoming programmers, even the low paying opportunities they dey leave thier big jobs come drag am on grassroot level, and no matter how good you are as a programmer someone is better than you, and that person will be dragging your little spot with you, and lets not talk about the indians and Pakistanis that will do anything for any price, programmers use to charge top dollar for jobs because its not easy, now you'll see indians undercutting you, and even collecting 100$ for a job that shouldn't be less than 500$, lets not talk about the so called vibe coders who pretend they're also programmers and leverage AI to do everything nowadays too, even those ones refer to themselves as programmers, thats how they watered down this noble profession to nothingness, its appalling, yes its not worth the effort anymore.
