Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai shared a tender moment with his wife as he arrived at the Federal High Court in Abuja for his ongoing alleged wiretapping trial.

The court has dismissed his no-case submission, ruling that the prosecution presented enough evidence for the case to continue. El-Rufai, who has pleaded not guilty to allegations of unlawfully intercepting the phone communications of National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, has been ordered to open his defence.

The matter has been adjourned to November 25, 2026.

Simply shows that Tinubu is afraid of Elrufai. That's no different from what the likes of Mobotu, Paul Biya and other dictators do to political opponents. Detaining Elrufai would not be enough as Tinubu found out in Kaduna over the weekend. He still has to tie one of his hands behind his back to stand a chance and even so, it will be 50-50.
