Go buy MTN Flyx

Go to Internet settings, and go to APN. Change the PDP Type to IPV4 if it is in IPV4&6. Also, ensure that the APN is not set to auto. Restart and let's see if you can browse.

I'll not advise anyone to get airtel ODU as a first timer, unless mtn is bad in your location. People keep complaining even in this thread, my last subscription ended on the 23rd, first 2 weeks was okay, after that it was nothing to write home about, spent another 6k buying mtn sub just so I can browse.

This is not location issue, airtel is very good in my area, I subscribe on normal airtel sim and it works fine, just the odu that has issues. I called cc tire, spoke with the guy that helped me register, no proper resolution till the thing expired. I'm going back to mtn for my peace of mind, the 7,500 difference is worth it like mad.

Wallahi, the difference is almost night and day, even at 45Mbps, some 4k streams wouldn't work well or keep buffering. Didn't experience this on mtn, less than 30 min downtime two days consecutively was the worst thing I could report (and I'm guessing it was network upgrade sef). Nothing else after that, one month of pure bliss.

Airtel is just so unreliable, ggs to the people who still enjoys their service.

I would like to say, with all due respect, that it's location issue sir. I mean, the ODU infrastructure in your area apparently need some upgrade

I'm saying this as someone who also suffered the untold fluctuations of the Airtel ODU in the early days.

It should be noted that I also advise people to get MTN FlyX these days instead of Airtel ODU. That said, I use the Airtel ODU at its most reliable state for the best part of several months now.

they said it's 1TB but I don't believe that. I have been using MTN since this month and I don't have any downtime or anything. I have been streaming and downloading heavily. All I have done is just about 800gb and it's almost three weeks. Meanwhile Airtel cut me off within two weeks

I have done 800+gb on my airtel odu, it only went off when the validity expired.

True,I browse on airtel mobile data but their odu isnt working, same house oh!

When I tested a broadband MTN SIM in my X25 pro when they gave free 25GB for their anniversary, it was really good as well. All the bands I could see, run on 20MHz bandwidth. This means that on paper, MTN has the capacity to accommodate and handle more traffic with most of its bands.

But then that experience could be in isolation. Others may have bands of lower bandwidth in their locations. What it does mean is that MTN might be good if I try using their FlyX here. But Airtel hasn't given me a reason to dump them.

Is there anyway I can connect an MTN mifi that has only micro usb port to Airtel smartbox, so that the mifi supplies the smartbox internet?

Which app do I need to manage and configure the router properly? Alternatively, if anyone can refer me to some of the helpful suggestions previously shared in this forum, kindly quote the relevant post or point me to where I can find it and read through.

I will advise you visit their Airtel center instead to register. Saves you stress of doing NIN and all that after installation

Lolz. The opposite is the case for me.

I'm recieving a steady 50Mbps on Airtel ODU (upload and download). But on MTN, I get sub 5Mbps (but with an upload speed of more than 10Mbps)

Funny thing is that on my mobile data, I get more than 60MBps 🫠🫠🫠

I heard the box doesn't allow connection via Wi-Fi from other devices. I don't have it so I have nearly zero experience with it.

Not possible with the Mifi because it doesn't have an Ethernet port.

If it did ( or you have a router or Mifi with a Ethernet port), you'd have to buy an Ethernet to USB cable to route your Internet from the router to the box.

Yes, the Airtel box accept Internet via a WAN/USB Ethernet Cable. The LAN on it only supplies, doesn't receive.

I'm currently using X25 and also the ODU.

The M30pro works as well when I used to have it.
