Blessing CEO Allegedly Collected N69.15m For Property She Did Not Own, Witness Tells Court

A prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of social media influencer Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has told a Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja that he allegedly paid N69.15 million for a property after the defendant presented herself as its owner.

The witness, Dr Onuoha Okeigwe, disclosed this on Monday while being cross-examined by defence counsel, maintaining that Blessing CEO represented herself as the property owner in WhatsApp conversations and during face-to-face interactions before he made the payment.

Okeigwe, the first prosecution witness (PW1), told the court that his allegation was supported by WhatsApp messages, documents obtained from the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and other materials submitted as evidence.

He, however, clarified that he was a chiropractic doctor and not a lawyer, adding that he did not understand legal terminology.

Despite this, the witness insisted that he had sufficient evidence to support his allegation that the defendant falsely claimed ownership of the property before collecting the money.

“Blessing CEO presented herself, claiming to be the owner of the property, and falsely collected money from me. She impersonated the owner of the property,” he told the court.

Okeigwe said his allegation was not based solely on WhatsApp conversations, stressing that other documents and materials had been presented to support his account of the transaction.

He also told the court that he communicated with the defendant both before and after making the payment for the property.

The witness disclosed that he had instituted a separate civil suit against Blessing CEO to recover money he spent renovating the property and to seek damages.

According to him, he spent more than N100 million renovating the property to meet the standards required for the medical facility he intended to establish there.

He explained that the criminal proceedings before the court concerned the N69.15 million allegedly paid to purchase the property, while the separate civil action sought to recover the renovation expenses and damages arising from the dispute.

During cross-examination, the defence questioned the evidence Okeigwe had presented to support his allegation.

When asked whether Exhibit C was the only evidence he had submitted to establish his claim, the witness disagreed, maintaining that other materials had also been presented to the court.

The case arose from allegations that the social media influencer obtained money by false pretence and stole N69.15 million in connection with the property transaction.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Blessing CEO on June 9, 2026, on two counts of obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Justice Oshodi adjourned the case until January 12, 2027, for the prosecution to call additional witnesses.

The allegations against Blessing CEO remain before the court.

It's glaring, she's criminally minded with unlimited desires for easy wealth. She should be sent to a lengthy jail term to serve as a deterrent to others like her all over the place who lives fake lives as a profession. Imagine using someone else's medical records to scam members of the public into believing she's a cancer patient.

When a woman must leave "a larger than life" far above her income, that's how they always ended.

She becomes popular through controversial sermons for her fellow gender.
...... became a celebrity without tangible job and wanted to be leaving bigger, in other to proof underserved status for her delusional followers.

She rented the property and sublet it to another tenant. Stop making it sound like she's claiming to be the landlord or something.
The whole issue started when it was time to renew the rent and the original landlord has increased the price grin

The evidence from the witness looks crystal clear, yet the court is adjourning the matter for months. Why does our legal system take forever to wrap up straightforward cases? January 2027 is a long time for someone trying to recover nearly 170 million Naira.
Lawyers in the house, so she is pleading not guilty so she can delay the entire process, na WA oo.

Her problem is pride.

Pride often ruin relationship/marriage

It would cause problem for you, among your friends

Even in your own family, you would have difficulty in relating with them.

Finally, you start taking things that are not legitimate for you, in other to keep imaginary status you believed you have attained.

More reason she couldn't stay with a man, meanwhile, instead for her to work on her ego for her marriage to work well, she started a campaign of calumny against male gender, unfortunately, her stupid online followers, taking her destructive opinions like "bambiala", their peaceful marriage, started having problems, before finally parked off.

you re truly wise. That’s what I also detected it as too.

That’s why she pleaded not guilty. If she has a good lawyer and if her tenancy agreement with her landlord wasn’t that strictly strong. She may win the case against the accuser

If she was that desperate for wealth she should have copied the established format or template other female celebrities used in acquiring wealth which is oloshoism, most Nollywood actresses are glorified oloshos who use their game to hookup with wealthy male clients, that's the way she should have done but she was too desperate
