Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have cracked down on illegal mining operations in Ogun State, arresting 14 Chinese nationals and one Nigerian.

The suspects were apprehended on Friday, October 23, 2026, at four different illegal lithium processing plants located in the Ogere area of Ogun State.
According to a statement released by the anti-graft agency on Monday via its official X handle, the raid was carried out following credible intelligence and intensive surveillance operations.

During the bust, EFCC operatives recovered several items from the illegal factories, including:

• Bags of lithium rocks
• One trailer truck
• 18 mobile devices
• 4 laptop computers
• 2 decoders and a television remote

The EFCC has confirmed that the 15 suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are fully concluded.

They will end up polluting the water and soil in those places and when they are done, they will pick up their suitcases and leave. The Nigerian government should jail all Chinese nationals swarming into the country to destroy it for generations to come, rather than deporting them because they will always find a way to sneak back and continue their destructive ways.

Illegal mineral lead to boycott of tax system, leading to cheaper production cost and cheaper good..

This is the primary reason china goods are cheap cuz they steal raw material ND me er go through due process...

They hack and steal western technologies, steal.mimeral and also provide heavy subsidies to their firms just to gain market advantage..they also manipulate their currency to gain export advantage..


China is not good news for any sane country
