Tinubu Is Going To Lose, But Your Life Won't Get Better. by nairalanda1(op): 9:37am On Oct 28
APC Must be voted out...but no, your life would not get better afterwards.

Nigeria as a nation has a very large debt burden. We also have hefty budget deficits that have been groowing for years, and oil revenue is going largely to settle debts. If not for subsidy removal, all our oil revenue would have gone to settle debts.

One word about subsidy removal,...it is not about politics. Simple and short. Once you get why it had to go, you would support subsidy remooval, while still rightly calling tinubu a bad leader.

Whoever takes over is still going to face massive debts, and a host of other issues. And if the government wants to be a good government, it would have to

1. Tax more of the gdp
2. Borrow for rail and pipeline projects
3. Remove subsides on power, and deregulate electricity, giving discos the right to set their prices.
4. Fight corruptuon at all levels.
5. Diversify the economy

If the government does not do these things, it is a bad government. If the government returns subsidy, it is worsening your debt for you and you go feel am after a few years of cheap prices.

I await the abuse.

He is going to lose most likely, because the North and the East and large parts of the rest of the country are hit hard by the good old subsidy removal.

Subsidy removal was necessary. The problem was any leader who did it was going to pay the price, and it was tinubu that happened to be it.

Tinubu's biggest crimes as a failed President is not removal of fuel subsidy, nope.....the main reasons Tinubu's regime failed woefully are:

1.) Extreme tribalism - God and nature despise this and the forces of nature will always work against any man or woman that practices extreme tribalism in all he does. Tinubu's biggest mistake was listening to people around him that encouraged him to make his government a Yoruba-centered government as if Yorubas finally conquered Nigeria.

This extreme tribalism made Tinubu to assemble the worst set of people who only want to praise him, enrich their pockets, advance the cause of their fellow tribesmen and community to the detriment of other tribes and regions. Nature forbids that and he had to fail!

Because of Tinubu's extreme tribalism, a lot of Nigerians who are not from his region who felt irritated and disgusted by his extreme tribalism in appointing only Yorubas into most key political positions threw away their national patriotism and refused to assist or bring ideas or do things that could have helped Nigeria and Tinubu to succeed.

2.) Rewarding the worst set of Nigerians without integrity and shame with political appointments thinking that would help him to hold on to power as long as he desires without anybody holding him accountable!

3.) Extreme corruption and unaccountability of government expenditures, revenues, etc - Tinubu's regime have not been transparent with how they spent our national revenues, incomes, taxes, loans, etc, he borrows and spend it recklessly on white elephant projects with zero impact on national development and growth. One example; the coastal highway to perdition!! shocked

4.) High cost of running the government - Tinubu spends so much on governance just because he believes in sharing money to the elites and corrupt/powerful Nigerians in order to buy their loyalty to enable him get full hold of Nigeria.

5.) Taxing poverty - Tinubu trying to copy developed western country's tax system to apply in a struggling 3rd world country like Nigeria with majority of her citizen living in extreme poverty and businesses struggling to stay in business is nothing but ignorance of the highest order. There is time for everything, taxing poor people more will only send them to extreme poverty and penury which will lead to nationwide insecurity and chaos as people struggle to survive by all means, including engaging in violent crimes!

6.) Tinubu's refusal to sincerely reform our electoral system to make it more credible and transparent than it is now.

7.) Tinubu's gradual destruction of our legal system - if you notice, since Tinubu took over, most Nigerians no longer take the court or judiciary serious because they have been heavily compromised and now working for the ruling party's interest only!

Now if Tinubu loses, it will reset Nigeria and it will make many Nigerians realize that nobody in Nigeria can hold Nigeria and Nigerians on ransom in the name of thinking he is too politically powerful, it will make other political leaders to sit up and start taking Nigerians serious, this matters a lot!

If it is Peter Obi that won, I can guarantee you that Nigeria will witness some positive changes that will improve the lives of all Nigerians irrespective of tribe or political party. Obi will reform our electoral system completely and make it more credible and transparent to allow only Nigerians to decide who governs them and to give room for the children of nobodies to vie for elective positions and win without knowing any powerful person or godfather! This will bring positive changes to Nigeria.

Obi will set example of being the first Nigerian President that will not travel out of Nigeria to treat himself for any illness because he will make use of Nigerian hospitals and he will also not travel outside Nigeria for vacation or leave as he will spend his vacation in Nigerian cities! This will bring real positive change to Nigeria.

Obi will cut down cost of governance to a very drastic level that will free up billions of funds that will be channeled to other sectors like healthcare, security, food production/agriculture....and this will make our politics to become less attractive to criminals and corrupt Nigerians and it will make our politics less toxic too!

These things I am very sure of and can stake my life on it should Obi win!

The issue you have in your analysis is that you seem to neglect the fact that Nigeria's current President is wasteful! The amount of money Tinubu has wasted in the name of governance and via corrupt practices like contract inflation, not following due process in awarding critical contracts like the coastal highway, and much more, is enough to take cut down our borrowing by at least 40%.

All those things you mentioned and many more you didn't mention, can never be achieved without revolution.

Revolution is the only thing that can make the government of any nation sit up right, that is the only language the fear .

Nigerian right now can never move forward without revolution, and for it to take place, Nigerians (no matter your tribe) must put out aside (sentiments, nepotism and tribalism) to achieve what they long wanted for.

As long we are divided as citizens, nothing but bulshitz will keep happening.

It is the truth he is telling you but most Nigerians don't like the truth and prefer to live in fantasy.

The global economy is harsher. The rich keep getting richer and the others just keep managing to survive. Nigeria could only benefit from this new world order if we were a manufacturing and technological hub like China....two things we have not taken seriously.

With AI and robotics, our advantage of having a large labour force will now become a big disadvantage. All we have now is mouths to feed who have no spending power, because we produce almost nothing, besides entertainment and skits (this is not an insult BTW).

We didn't do the right things at the right time and we'll have to continue paying the price for it until we get our act right.

What happened to investing the money back into the economy? What happened to investing trillions of naira into agriculture and manufacturing rather than all the wasteful spending (like renovating VP residence with 21 billion)?

So let's pretend that subsidy removal was the only problem and not how wasteful and corrupt his government was after plunging people into hardship? Telling people to sacrifice while wasting billions? Let's pretend he did his job on insecurity, he took it seriously and fought it head-on like a leader should?

Why did the coastal highway of fraud take precedence over highways in complete ruins? Do you know what it means to quadruple cost of living for over 200 million people who were already struggling from Buhari's government, and then go about business as usual like they're simply objects of sacrifice?

Must you make excuses for him as if he did his job and being punished for no reason?

You say shit and then start playing victim like a typical Tinubu supporter. You throw yourself in the boxing ring and then start complaining about getting punched in the face?

Elections are won on popular vote cast by the majority who know who they are voting for before the elections.

If you would have to 'surprise' the majority in order to win the election. It means you are planning to rig the elections.

Dalohad:
The only 'surprise' you are dependent on him rigging the election.
Elections are won on popular vote cast by the majority who know who they are voting for before the elections.
If you would have to 'surprise' the majority in order to win the election. It means you are planning to rig the elections.

Plain and simple..Ko ju be yen lo.

If rigging is easy, Ambo will be Osun governor elect. Wike will not be campaigning and begging Fubara.

The simple truth is that BAT has sold Nigeria.

If you remove him via poll/ revolution one of 2 things must happen.

1. The new president will sign new revamped agreements with the buyers of Nigeria. And the slavery continues.

2. The new president will cancel all previous agreements and make his own plans or even decide to liberate Nigeria.

If he goes for the second option " heavily invested "countries like France will bomb Lagos and the NE.

That's just France oo...
