REBUTTAL TO THE PURPORTED REVOLT BY SOUTHWEST LEADERS AGAINST ATIKU ABUBAKAR ADC SOUTHWEST CONCERNED LEADERS Let it be clearly stated: Who exactly are these so-called Southwest leaders purportedly revolting against His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar? What is their track record in party building, grassroots mobilization, and electoral success? What tangible electoral value do they bring to the table beyond political transactions and personal interests? It is a matter of serious concern that individuals parading themselves as Southwest leaders would sponsor or endorse such a demeaning write-up without providing credible evidence to substantiate their claims. Leadership is not established by self-acclamation, media propaganda, or proximity to political funding. True leadership is demonstrated through loyalty, sacrifice, commitment, grassroots engagement, and measurable electoral contributions. Atiku Abubakar is a seasoned statesman with vast political experience, strategic depth, and a proven understanding of Nigeria's complex political landscape. He cannot be expected to fold his arms while the political interests of the party are reduced to a transactional enterprise in which a few individuals seek to benefit from the resources intended to secure victory in the 2027 elections. The Southwest must not become a political marketplace where entitlement takes precedence over competence, loyalty, and demonstrable contributions. At this critical moment, the ADC needs committed party men and women who are ready to work, mobilize, build structures, and deliver electoral results—not individuals whose political relevance is measured solely by their access to funding or their ability to issue statements in the media. We, the ADC Southwest Concerned Leaders, unequivocally reject any attempt to undermine Atiku Abubakar through unsubstantiated allegations or to intimidate him into abandoning his legitimate responsibility to promote credible, loyal, and capable party members for the enormous task ahead. The 2027 elections demand discipline, strategic thinking, accountability, and genuine grassroots commitment. Those who seek leadership positions or recognition must demonstrate their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the party's success rather than resort to manufactured controversies and political blackmail. Our position is clear: The future of the ADC in the Southwest must be determined by competence, loyalty, integrity, grassroots strength, and electoral value—not by transactional politics or self-appointed leadership. We stand firmly with Atiku Abubakar in his pursuit of a credible, inclusive, and victory-oriented political structure. No individual or group should be allowed to hold the party's collective ambition hostage to personal interests. The Southwest belongs to the people, and the ADC belongs to its committed members. The time for transactional politics must give way to purposeful leadership and genuine service. Signed: ADC Southwest Concerned Leaders.

garykoeman:We all know who is associated with those chants and choruses. Nigerians, including you, know that whenever Tinubu passes through the streets of Lagos or anywhere in Nigeria, the familiar chorus that follows him is “Ole! Ole! Ole! Bamayi! Bamayi!” So, let's not pretend we don't know who owns that soundtrack |

We know a sponsored fake news article when we see one. The initial story even attempts to insult the so-called ADC Southwestern leaders by insinuating that their grievance is because Atiku didn't give them transport money. When will APC rest and realise that not everything is about money and that money can buy everyone? |
