Years back we used to play around with the title of peoms and books, one such *Peom* stuck in my mind,

As I was going on an *Emergency mission to Kala*
On the *Road to Ghana*, I saw a *Burning grass*
Beside it a *Mine boy* was crying *Efuru*
I said to him *Weep not child* for when the *Arrow of God* strikes
*Things fall apart* and we are *No longer at Ease*
However I am going to an *African night entertainment* Where we will hear *Stories from an african village* and have *Toads for supper*
But I wil be back before *Eze goes to *school*

I actually wrote one using the title of songs to express love. I call it 'your love'.

I got the inspiration/idea from you and lordthunderbolt.

Basking under a huge "anthill of the savanna"
Wondering why "Jame hardly chase me" no more,
In teed up field flanked with black dusty bandanna
Where we catch tiger-grasshoppers hopping the grassy floor.

He toed "the new man" path, so he alleged to his ploy,
Heaving in contrite friendliness that I 'kerosined'
His soul; how can it be? "The beatification of area boy"
I know have sinned more than the devil has sinned.

They said he's gone in "flying colours" in the souring sky
But I know him as a chameleon-butterfly wafting around "purples hibiscus"...
His absence has made me walk around like a black rainbow under squinting eyes
With my name on their dried lips as a discussion to discuss...

It’s getting late, as the sky has bitten off "half of the yellow sun".
James was my pal of habitual temperament
A fungi fun-guy with adventurous bag of fun.
Now it tickles me with tinges of attention for our "estrangement".

I cried till my tears washed off his blemished memory
In me; then dust myself to the “famished road”
Having accepted his parting as the "tragedy of victory"
That he desired, then hopped home like a disabled toad.
