Thank you for this wonderful insight, just hope some people will learn especially those shouting LOCATION, yet they are unable to locate any school till date. In addition to what art has said, most people do not read previous post, many of these advert last for two weeks depending on the advertiser.

Adding to what adenines said, it means most school from the begining of this thread one way or the other have vacant positions and it would not be out of place if you go to previous post and select randomly to sent cv's to these schools.

Finally, most schools are not happy to put up their names when advertising for the reasons @adenines mentioned and best known to them(schools). Some that do not mention their names pay above average say 35-50k depending on location and a few VERY poor, but all the same at all at all na im bad pass.

Just to add to this beautiful piece.
1. Applicants should realize that to get employed they need more than just the certificates they possess. They must possess additional skills that will give them an edge. How can a graduate in this age and dispensation not be computer literate? You should at least be able to use Microsoft Word very well if not Excel and Powerpoint as well.
2. Take time to prepare very well for an interview. Your personal appearance is as important to some employers as your academic qualifications. If need be buy a new pair of trousers, a shirt and a tie and keep it solely for interviews. That you are unemployed is no excuse to look shabby and unkempt at an interview.
3. Be punctual on the interview date. Most employers hate late-coming. The
reasoning is this. If you cannot keep to time at the interview what is the assurance that you will keep to time when employed?
4. Always carry your credentials and other documents along for interview. These are proof of who and what you claim to be. Without these you are an impostor.
5. Never show impatience at an interview venue. Sometimes employers start interviews late and take their time to try your patience. Be careful what you discuss with other applicants. Some of those others "applicants" may actually be agents of the organisation planted in the midst of genuine applicants. So when going for an interview go with a book and spend the waiting period reading.
6. Do not make it obvious to your interviewer that money is you number one priority. Let your emphasis be on the working environment which will help you to give your best.

I do not know of anybody, but you have to negotiate well.
Some factore to consider are:
Transportion which is a major, the closer the better
Working environment
Plan to further, if any. Do not forget 'us' when there is an opening Congrats.

@Rexibity and Raphael, Did you bother to check my recent or latest post? if no, please check. What effort have you made to check within and around your environs for schools? Have you? if no, please do and if yes, what was the outcome?

My uncle started as a teacher, taught in two schools befor moving to his current job and even before the teaching job he had failed many teaching job test and interviews. One of the questions the interviewer asked was why did you go into teaching, he answered, I was not ready to sit at home. He got the job and while working the person that asked him that question was his immediate supervisor and told him, assuming you answered there was no job, that was the reason you settled to teach or has seen his resume empty from the date of last employment to date was only NYSC-which would mean he is not proactive, but lazy and reactive which would raise a red flag, they will not employ him.

My point, do not come here whinning, I may not have been to Abuja but there are schools that are not ICT compliance probably because they do not see any reason why they should be and will not come to the net to advertise vacancies. Get your behinde and hit the road( drop your resume in every and any school around). Also, take your time to go through previous posts.


After NYSC, a NL went to google and searched for Audit firms in his location and send his resume to them, he was called for an interview by one of the firms, made it but the pay was small. He got the needed experience, got chattered their and now in ONE very big company after 4yrs in the Audit firm, mind you the guy don build house for village and city, buy motor and living large at a time, experienvce will get you that needed job with fat pay.

My point, do not be idle or wait for someone to tell you were the job is. if I tell you my story you go give God the glory.............. it isn't easy.

The moment you enter the Estate's gate, there is one by your right-hand side, three houses away another one and at Maryland, very close to the bridge immediatey after that Campus Poly there is one there.
