Applications are invited from suitably qualified
candidates for admission into the Pre-degree
Science (PDS) Programme of the Federal
University of Technology, Akure. The PDS
Programme is full time, and will run for one
academic session of Two (2) semesters.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates should possess five Credit passes in
WASC, NECO, GCE or NABTEB at not more than
two sittings in relevant subjects from
ENGLISH LANGUAGE ●
BIOLOGY/AGRIC.SCIENCE
MATHEMATICS ●
ECONOMICS
PHYSICS ●
GEOGRAPHY
CHEMISTRY
Credit pass in Economics is compulsory in the
School of Management Technology.
ADMISSIONS COULD BE SOUGHT INTO THE
FOLLOWING SCHOOLS IN FUTA:
School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology
(SAAT)
School of Engineering and Engineering
Technology (SEET)
School of Earth and Mineral Sciences (SEMS)
School of Environmental Technology (SET)
School of Management Technology (SMAT)
School of Sciences (SOS)
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
1.)
Candidates are to pay application fee of Fifteen
thousand naira (N 15,000.00) excluding bank
charges on e-transact in any bank on the e-
transact platform.
2.)
Candidates are to complete and print the PDS
Application Form online after payment by logging
on to the Federal University of Technology,
Akure’s website www.futa.edu.ng and click on the
online PDS Application Form.
3.)
a.)
Submit the Online application form and print out
a copy of the registration slip.
b.)
The application opens on Monday, 9th June, 2014
and closes on Friday 31st October, 2014. All
awaiting results candidates must upload their
result on the www.futa.edu.ng on or before
Monday 3rd November, 2014

OAU PDS registration don close sef so...... oh it has been extended but bruh go for the school that has your choice course .

Last year the fee was 160K...150K for the school fees while 10K for the textbuks they ar gonna supply u

Why not just do Mechanical engineering in FUTA as mech engr still has more prospects than chemical engineering and don't also forget OAU still has internal problems that might linger on to next year

Was just looking up FUNAAB PRE DEGREE page on Facebook & noticed there won't be entrance exam just as FUTA's and this just ticked me like these universities just want our monies cos as far as yu fail JAMB , there's nothing like admission for you.
However just as students like me that have passed jamb thrice but can't get past Post Jamb , I see this as an avenue for us to get our academic brain back to work as I suppose the universities give us the best tutors for our pre degree period.
Lastly I recommend Pre Degree for we students that are good , passed jamb but always can't get past Post jamb so as to Bring back our sharp Secondary school brain back to life. Gracias!

I want to knowmore about accommodations in futa pds. Is the fee we are going to pay include accommodation fee.

I don't think the accommodation is included in the 150K tuition fee just as textbook fee is not included

npe,u r nt wrong. FUTA doesnt include accomodation fee to the sch fees. Pdites cant stay in sch hostels bt they can stay in the other hostel(in ibule-soro) . Oau's accmdatn z cmpulsry cos they av dif campus 4 pdites

i dnt actually knw, i wil hlp in asking my mates . Bt there might b changes startin frm this year's p.d. I tink pdites wil b moved frm main campus to another place(nt quite sure of the name), so if diz shld appen, it wil b like oau's p.d program were accomodation wil b given automatically as its payment wil b made compulsory.
N.B- m nt sure of d above info cos dats jst a rumour carried around during our set.

If the abov info znt true, den i wil implore u to av ur accmdatn outsid d sch campus [south gate is lively,bt its in obakekere wic is a disadvantage to ppl dat receives lecture in obanla(for dose dat r admitted early). North gate on the other hand isnt dat lively bt u get d opprtunity to get to sch witouth spending a dime (unless u r admitted late, i.e ur lecture hall wil either b in great hall or old library). The last set b4 us said dat studnts r grouped into each hall by their faculty/school. I.e s.o.s wil b in gr8 hall, s.e.e.t in cce hall 1...e.t.c bt in our own set(last set), it wasnt done lik dat as we were grouped according to batch list]
accmdatn cost outsd sch varies, u wil c 20k,45k, 60k,80k,92k,120k...i lived in 35k aouz alongside a staylite,so we co-paid makin it easier. So it actually depends on d level of ur parents' wealth
