Good development.. But you still have to have 1.8M in a blocked german account before you get a permit. Or has this been relaxed?

The Germans are able to do this because

1.They do not have a resource-dependent economy.They have a well diversified, industrial economy...with companies galore who pay good taxes.(Nigeria's economy is only reliant on oil).

2.Not everyone goes to university. Once you finish their equivalent of JSS there...you have the choice of going to their equivalent of our Senior Secondary School....or becoming an apprentice....with pay.

3.They pay taxes. Everyone pays taxes.

4.German GDP: 3,593,000(population:80.2 million-2011)
Nigerian GDP: 502,000.(population: 154,729,000-nearly dobule that of Germany-2009 UN Estimate)
GDP is in millions of US Dollars



Nigeria will be able to declare free education....once we get off our oil dependency

Bushdoc's maxim: Oil dependent societies, unless they have small populations or large ,diversified and primarily industrial economies, cannot ever prosper...or even afford free education because they do not have the hefty tax revenues that industrial societies have.

P.S...How much does it cost to study in Germany....for any intendees!
