Romans 3:10 says "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one"
I was considering the lyrics of Sinach's song, I Know Who I Am. I don't agree with her on some points. Though i know that, as Christians, we always strive to live a righteous life and be holy just as He taught us now, hear this bridge:
"I am holy, i am righteous.." I paused and replayed it several times. Then my mind went straight back to that portion of the Bible. I'm wondering if this is only a faith talk or a total declaration. What's your take?

21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.


If you read your Bible, you would avoid senseless disagreement

Paul in Romans is talking of the state of man that necessitates the blood of Jesus shed on calvary. He is saying all have sinned and is quoting Psalms 14:1-3,53:1-3. The law won't suffice to make us right with God. Please read the entire chapter and quit hating

Sinach says 'am righteous, am holy' I have given the basis for those lyrics. Of course 'I' is believer not humanity. Nobody is righteous, we are MADE righteous in Christ and on this basis we can say we are righteous. Do you believe this?

if u read from verse 1 of that romans 3 to the end u will understand that apostle Paul was referring to two types of righteousness which are the righteousness of God & man's righteousness, which is the righteousness from the law. That part u quote talks about man's righteousness. But the truth is our righteousness is of God the righteous she is referring to is her righteousness in God so there is nothing wrong with the song.

We have two knowlege in this life, God's knowlege & man's knowlege for u to understand the bible very well u most study it with the knowlege of God & not man's knowlege. For you to have the knowlege of God u most have the only spirit in you & not just having the holy spirit but you should be concious of the fact that the holy spirit lives in you. Remember the holy spirit is our teacher.
