(1) u cant open ur mouth nd aask som1 u dont knw if he/she is wearing a watch the time. That means u must have seen the person with a watch nd ask "what is it by ur watch"?
(2) this ur idea of the person carrying any other device... Thats wrong bro!
Ur nt even sure the person hz aa phone or any oda device. There is no way for you to ascertain that he/she hz any oda device or are u goin 2start puttin ur hand inside his pocket to check?
(3). The main reason y itz "what is it by ur watch" itz becos the time in his watch might be wrong ie. It mite be slow or fast... So his time mite nt be d actual time ... Datz y u ask him "what is it by ur watch"?.... Hope wit these few points of mine i was able to convince u nd nt confuse u that "what is it by ur watch"? Is the correct answer

All correct but I disagree with #1...U are not the owner of time. It would have been accepted if it were be a wrist watch. So, the correct thing to say is, "what is it by the time?"

(I mean, its almost like asking 'what is it by your phone' because I have seen the person holding a phone, right now, watches can be used for numerous things (not only to check time, to check blood pressure, cameras,internet,etc) so I don't think it would be a sufficient question to ask 'what is it by your watch' this modern time, and by the way, ipeople don't ask for time just because they want to have a comparison with other watches (I mean,I wouldn't do dat, don't know about you), they ask because they want to know the time. #warning# *this lawyer argues alot*
