Over 2000 houses have been submerged in parts of Makurdi, the Benue State capital following torrential rainfall which  has caused flood in some areas in the last one week.

Some of the affected areas include Inioungu community, Part of Rice Mill and New Garage all in Wadata as well as Kutcha Utebe and behind Zone 4 among others.

Sen suswam you mean? Dude is busy chasing his senate aspirations, doesn't care a thing about his state. Although the floods are not his fault, its mainly due to the poor sanitary habits of the people.

Are you kidding me? you pour dirts in gutters thereby blocking the water ways, you dont clear the grass around your neighbourhood and you expect smooth flow of water? Its not rocket science bro/sis, these things are linked with sanitation.

Thou flood is usually caused by natural forces, Think we should consider this when constructing house, road, drainage so as to minimize its negative impact.
