Do they have gutters in this areas?
I serve in otukpo and I can tell u that 90% of their road doesn't have drainage system. If the benue state govt care abt its people they sud make good roads nd gutters for them. Even d so called GRA where Marks lives no road and gutter,jus a small rain People lives in my area find it hard to go out due to extreme mud nd flood.....infact Benue state is far from development!

Over 2000 houses have been submerged in parts of Makurdi, the Benue State capital following torrential rainfall which  has caused flood in some areas in the last one week.

Some of the affected areas include Inioungu community, Part of Rice Mill and New Garage all in Wadata as well as Kutcha Utebe and behind Zone 4 among others.

If you buy a piece of land in a low lying area susceptible to flooding; the next step is to construct an embankment and sand-fill before building your house. If you don't, there may be loss of life or property in years of surplus rainfall. Else don't buy at all.

I repeat that the post is pure falsehood, if one or two houses are flooded that does not mean 2000 houses were submerged.

Although I am not certain the number of buildings but I can confirm there is flood. My sister who schools in BSU had her house flooded. She's currently putting up with me.
