Stop blaming others for the robbery of this administration.

It does not work that way. Do you know how many Nigerian Cabals that have stake in MTN and DSTV?
Are you minding him?

At least t his time they tried to follow their own cashless policy. They did not carry the money in GMG.

I hate South Africa and it citizens, they all reason alike.I am yet to see anyone that has that brotherly love for their other African nation.wicked set of human beings that should have continue to perish under the apathetic regime.
South African, one day, your cup will full , just have it in mind that no man is an island.Keep on embarrassing us and playing to the tune of your slave masters that chooses to turn their face to the the other side during those trying times.I dislike you guys with passion. I have hearing of how some our Innocent Nigerians are being maltreated tagged as criminal even before they proof their innocence. shame on you people. shame shame on you.
I feel very sorry for our Nigeria brother that are marrying your ladies. I don't know what they are looking for in the territories where they are highly disliked. I HATE YOU PEOPLE.I WOULD RATHER CHOOSE TO RELATE WITH YOUR WHITE CITIZEN OVER YOU. FROM YOUR ACTIONS, YOU ARE DEFINITELY NOT A FRIEND OF NIGERIA.

I don't care what excuse the SA government is using as a bases to embarrass Nigeria. We are gonna get every single of our kobo back. And I suggest we start with MTN. MTN has more subscribers in Nigeria than the entire population of SA put together. The make more money in their Nigerian operation almost doubling that of their operations else where but the provide one of the poorest network services and not having the single courtesy of listing on Nigerian stock exchange. Simple suggestion, NCC should fine MTN approximate of 10 to 15 million dollars for poor services to their consumers and the amount shld be paid to the federation account simple. We get our money back through mtn and SA keep the one the have with them and everyone is happy.
Come here and collect a royal handshake for that suggestion! grin

While we are at it, Nigeria should also suspend the banking license of Rand Merchant bank (RMB) as well as that of Stanbic, which is partially owned by the Standard Bank of South Africa. In fact, CBN should just slam a fine on them for late returns of financial reports or some other excuse, and ensure the fine is equal to $15 million USD. shocked

If every country decides to flex muscle for us, it should not be South Africa. sad

This was the same way they woke up one morning and decided to deport Nigerians on a South African Airways flight into Johannesburg, claiming their yellow fever cards were fake. Ask me, if they know the difference between a fake yellow fever card and an original one. angry

Trust Ambassador Ashiru, the former foreign minister. He just issued a directive. The next incoming flight from Johannesburg to Lagos that was carrying South African passengers was promptly turned back with all the passengers as soon as it landed in MMIA.

After that, they stopped their shenanigans. Who dash monkey banana? angry

Yes, he owns 40% of MultiChoice, but the South Africans own a greater percentage. Most of their top management staff are from South Africa, and DSTV/MultiChoice have made a fortune in this country. Let NBC just withdraw their license and stop them from broadcasting for 3 weeks, and see if their annual budget will balance out. Mtchheeew... angry

Kindly check the MTN Group website: MTN Group in South Africa has a shareholding of 78% of MTN Nigeria.

You think all those automotive etal investors will want to put money in a country that victimizes private business interests during diplomatic rows?

These are some of the reasons all this gallivanting for FDI remains a pipe dream.

This administration has degenerated to the point they are now robbing us and threatening those that catch them like armed robbers. Jonathan should should be very careful before he is moved from Aso Rock to ICC. Many of us still want he to reach Bayelsa first before heading to jail grin grin grin
You're a certified lunatic.

I hope you are aware that the US has admitted that they blocked the arm deal.
Wait for the details.

Clowns behaving like motor park touts. Why did the NSA not explain why the Nigerian Government knowingly broke South African money laundering laws by attempting to smuggle $9.7 million into their country. So just because this batch of $5.7 million passed through the banks, it could not be illegally laundered money?

A sane government would use diplomatic and legal means to achieve its objectives instead of spewing threats all over the place. So the fact that South African mega companies operate in Nigeria now gives us the right to disregard their laws?

The $5.7 million transaction looked suspicious, especially occuring just after the botched $9.7 million smuggling fiasco, so the government obtained a court order from the South Gauteng High Court to seize the money. The most sane thing to do is for our attorney general to assemble a team of lawyers to South Africa to show the court that the money is legitimate, and then demand a public apology from the South African government once the money is declared legitimate.
Should I say you are plain stupid or practising to be stupid? You know the status qui in Nigeria. Boko haram everywhere, if your mother was slaughtered and your children are part of the Chibok girls won't you support the govt to buy arms by all means possible? You sit in the comfort of your house and spew rubbish. I fear for this nation where noone wants to help build the nation rather spend every ounce of power and what's left of their miserable lives insulting the leaders while we the society are the major problem...

On Tuesday 07 october 2014 the president of Nigeria Jonathan goodluck was in cape town RSA together with some of his cabinet ministers, numerous issues were discussed by the leaders of these two great nations including the arms deal saga...Eventually the two countries managed to resolve the matter at hand ,SA will release the seized money anytime from now,My sources indicated that the South Africans were under pressure ,could not resist the humble brotherhood approach initiated by their Nigerian counterparts...the Nigerian leaders also assured their SAn comrades that south African companies doing business in nigeria are in safe hands and there were no threats against them...the leaders of the two nations also signed various agreements ranging from visas application, trade etc etc..

I will not support the reckless whole scale looting of the national treasury, we cannot use subterfuge under the guise of arms procurement to over ride further endemic corruptive abuse and misappropriation of state funds.

I am not ignorant of the requirements of military procurement indeed i am quite conversant and what I see being played here is simply abuse of due process.

When i go to another country I must abide by the laws of that country, when persons unknown bring in to another hidden, huge sums of money in cash undeclared and try to subvert a sovereign countries laws they are in breach and by implication guilty of a criminal act.
It is the magnanimity S. African government that looked the other way otherwise they caught red handed with undeclared funds should all be in jail not back in Nigeria making noise.

We use third party intermediaries in arms corruption for one reason only CORRUPTION , KICK-BACK ,OVER INFLATION , etc.

All this gramme you have put forth is understandable but now that you cannot see the issue on ground. Look around this country is full of decay. Go backto the rootsand look for a solution and not grammar, if we continue with grammar we will not achieve a way forward.. the whole world wants us to fail because of our large mineral deposits..

South Africa shouldn't worry, this is an accidental president who will soon be voted out of office. Jonathan is not doing it in Nigeria's name but, for few of his corrupt co-travellers.
