I just saw an advert lauding sure-p for their graduate internship scheme. The ad shows how sure-p is empowering youths all across the nation. My Question is has anybody benefited from sure-p, if YES let us know when and how? NOW THIS MY STORY I got the sure-p link from a friend and registered and was given a unique code and a few days later I was invited for a graduate internship fair (@ mum civic centre warri delta state)where we graduates would be matched with firms as interns. After much talk came the main event.......I got selected by a firm (R.O.M.O equipments and construction) and opened the UBA acct. as required then came the final phase where we lined up to be accredited by sure-p officials, that was when the issue took a funny turn. 90% of us (myself included) couldn't get the sure-p accreditation because our unique codes instead of displaying our details kept showing details of people that were not even in present in the venue. The told us to go home, that they would rectify it but up till now the story remains the same. I have been calling sure-p call lines(six different lines) since that date(sept. 17); they almost never go through, when they mistakenly do go through nobody picks. I and the others selected by R.O.M.O construction had a meeting with our would be employer only to find out that they have no office and not even a hammer to hire (they re suppose to be hiring out construction equipments). In defence the so called CEO said there company is actually not based in warri but in Ondo state so that's why he is using a rented residential apartment with no employee as an Annex. Just last week what the CEO told me, when I called him for update shocked me, he said sure-p sent mails meant for him to another mail thus he has not been able to access his sure-p account and has been trying to rectify this but he is finding it difficult because of sure-p poor response. BTW: Our supposed employer told us in the meeting we held with him that he would take #5000 from the #30000 sure-p would pay us should the registration be successful.........This further buttress what I noticed during the fair; most of the so called firms are hoaxes( e.g south south women empowerment was there to get interns) These are the names of the sure-p officials present at the fair in warri(Mum civic centre) on wed. 17th sept. 2014 1. Mr. A.N Kalu(he actually said sure-p has employed about13000 graduate previously in delta state) 2. Miss Asmau musa 3. Miss Ngozi okonkwo(delivered the orientation) and 4. Mr. Edward Adole.(responsible for the accreditation) I took the pain to find out from others (selected by different firms) that were present at the event and discovered they too are yet to get any form of accreditation from sure-p. I don't know if its too early to conclude that sure-p is a scam. Please if you have benefited from sure-p please tells us; when, where and how. If your experience is similar to mine pls also let us know. |

In Enugu State, sure-p forms are being shared among PDP members at the ward level as a compensation for their loyalty to the party. So, if you belong to a different political party or has no PDP connection, then nothing for you. |

OP: I sympathise with you. You are one of the victims of the SURE-P scam perpetrated by the Jonathan led government, which is infamously known as a government of scam and con artist. 99% of government policies under Jonathan, including the so called economic growth are scams. You need to understand that a goat can't give birth to a leopard, neither will a mango tree produce apple fruit. Jonathan and his PDP have nothing to offer but fraud, this is a man that destroyed Bayelsa State as governor and went further to support a mediocre-in the person of Mr Seriake Dickson. This is a man that lied to the whole world that Nigerians are not suffering. You don't matter to jonathan and his government, he has no iota of care about you as long as you are not a political thug or a criminal. 2015 provides us an opportunity to right the mistake of 2011. Please for the sake of our future, vote out Jonathan. Remember Oduagan has turned Delta into a joke and the President don't care. As for yur source of livelihood, may God open opportunity for you and provide for you and other Nigerian youths |

- Buhari ran PTDF with even a small funds and was firing out projects in all sectors. It was even at a point described as an alternative government. (Those who antagonize him do not deny the work he did, only that some got more than others). - Now Jonathan copied the same model and drowned it in corruption. All we hear of it is contributing funds for Projects that have already been funded through the budget. The rest is shared to PDP loyalists. It is now that the words of Babangida makes a lot of sense to me: “If Buhari quit PTF job as he promise and as we knew him to mean his words all along, I support the idea of scrapping PTF as no one else can do the job as him." –IBB |

egift:Yea, check out Buhari's record in PTF; The Abacha regime created a parallel government through the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) headed by Major General Muhammed Buhari. Nothing else typifies the marginalisation of the Yoruba than the lopsidedness of the projects carried out by the PTF. Figures from PTF Situation Reports (Vol. 2 Dec. 98) show that the PTF carried on as if there was no South West. Of all the roads rehabilitated by he PTF, only 1984.5 kilometres of roads representing 10.84 per cent were carried out in the South West; from where the bulk of the PTF revenue came since the zone consumes over 60 per cent of refined petroleum products. All the Southern States had 4,440.43 kms or 24 per cent of road rehabilitation as against 13,870.47 kms or 76 per cent in the Northern States zone three comprising the North-West States of Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara had a lion share of 5020 kms or 27.42 per cent because the Fund’s Chairman, Buhari and the military dictator Sani Abacha were from there; zone four comprising the North-East States of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe picked 23.48 per cent. This is the zone where Salihijo Ahmed, the late Chief Executive of Afri-Project Consortium APC, the sole consultants that supervised all PTF projects came from. Figures in other sectors were more scandalous. For instance, under the National Health and Educational Rehabilitation Programme (NHERP), the South West had zero allocation in the tertiary programme, while the North picked 100 per cent. In the vocational programme, the South West had zero while the North had 97 per cent. In the primary area, the South-West had zero against 88 per cent for the North and in the secondary area, it was zero for the South-West and 86 per cent for the North. The health sector is similar. For the Teaching Hospitals, the South-West had zero while the North had 62 per cent. For the Specialist Hospitals, it was zero for the South-West and 71 per cent for the North; in General/State Hospitals the Yoruba had nothing while the North had 56 per cent for health clinics, it was zero for the South-West against the North’s 100 per cent. Under the food supply summary, the Southwest had 7.26 per cent compared with 83 per cent for the North, Buhari’s zone having 60.54 per cent to itself. http://www.nigerianmuse.com/20061228122222zg/nigeria-watch/all-about-the-oputa-panel-hrvic/nigeria-has-persecuted-the-yoruba-submission-of-afenifere-to-the-human-rights-violations/ |

As someone who is in charge of SURE-P Graduate scheme in my company, I can tell you that the op was either lying or being played by some people who are not from SURE-P. I recruit our SURE-P staff, conduct their interview, sign their acceptance form, and also sign their monthly time sheet for their monthly pay. First, when a participating company need an intern, the company after registration will be given access to request for an intern. The system automatically generate people that match the required skill you are looking for. After selection of anyone that match your need from list of people you, normally you will be given option to choose among about 5 to 7 interns if you request for 1 intern. You will only see the names of these people and brief of their profile. After that you will be sent a mail and the intended intern will receive a mail giving the intern the address of the company. That is when you invite the intern for an interview. If you are satisfy with the performance of the intern, then you accept him or her. After that the intern can now proceed to UBA to open bank account. I am directly involved for my company and we are enjoying N150,000 monthly subsidy on our 5 staff you are interns from SURE-P. |
