What Exactly Is Plagiarism? by SPEEDEPITOME(op): 3:56pm On Oct 11, 2014
After reading several comments on Linda Ikeji's ordeal, i came up with this question.

What is plagiarism?

There is an argument along that line on a thread in the front page and from there i was able to deduce that people have different opinions on what constitutes plagiarism, some people do not know what it is exactly and how serious an offense it is.
Plagiarism, to me, means taking someone else's work(s) and passing them as though it is/ they are yours.
So if you know well , what you please do well to explain what constitutes plagiarism.

I think the underlying question is 'how can you lay claim to a "work"?

Not just taking someone else's work completely, taking parts or all of someone else's work without giving credit to the real owner is plagiarism, also paraphrasing or rephrasing someone's job without giving credit to the owner is also plagiarism and finally, work cited alone is not giving credit without an I text citation. So many things are attached to plagiarism than how we look at it
