THE Alaafin of Oyo State, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola
Adeyemi, has commended President Goodluck
Jonathan, for his exemplary leadership style,
saying he has presented himself as the much
expected leader Africa has been waiting for.
Disclosing this in a letter to the presidency,
Adeyemi said, “I commend the language,
persuasiveness, conviction, forthrightness and
clarity of your speeches which are no doubt clear
indications of your suave, non- obstructive, honest
and sincere personality.”
While noting that he has been following with keen
interest, developments at home in Nigeria,
especially, since the beginning of what could be
regarded as the new dawn of statesmanship in the
country, the Alaafin said, “I have also been
watching and trying to understand the politics and
praxis of the new generation of African leaders as
partakers in the global search for peace, order and
good governance.”
