Good job Obiageli. It is my prayer that God in His mercy will make many of us think right that we can break Nigeria from the grips of PDP. The feellers out there is that GEJ is weak, corrupt and maybe cluessless if you want to add that but it seems many Nigerians have resorted to fate that the man GEJ would still win 2015 presidential elections. I have tried in my little way to disabuse that mindset. You remembered the way people hated Late Gen Sani Abacha but it was as if we had no choice. We have over 89Million Nigerians apart from the very old and children who are potential presidential candidates but some are feeding us that GEJ is the only choice. We need to step up our game and let Nigerians know that there are plenty better choices out there. GEJ and PDP are the problem of this country. They told us in 1999 that they will fight poverty, construct roads, make the economy work and after almost 16years, they are still using the same campaign slogans!!! 2015 is for us to take and get it right. God will heal Nigeria. |

chimerase2:That is the issue we keep facing. How will you pass comprehension in school. I now understand why we have lot of mass failure in English Language. We are talking about working policy that can solve lot of Nigeria's unemployment problem, but all you can do is insult Buhari (who does not know if you exist, who will die and be celebrated as a hero by the same government you support blindly). I guess you most be a kid still under the roof of your parent thats why you don't understand the situation the country is. Grow up bro. |

Mogidi:Is this your best shot? Why dont you open another thread and let us review the achievements of PDP governors Kebbi is a PDP state; Taraba is a PDP state; Ebonyi is a PDP. When was the last time a tangible project was commissioned in those states? What about Bayelsa, the presidents home state? Despite collecting huge federal allocation with its relatively small landmass and meagre population, the state is still nothing to write home about. You can also tell us about Abia, another failed PDP state |

There is hardly any APC state, especially the ones whose governors won elections on their platform, that has not created jobs for their unemployed youths. Yes, the jobs may not be upto standard, the fact that the governors of the respective states sat and came up with such an idea is an indication that they have something to offer. |

Thank you Obiagelli!!! Our first objective should be to stop corruption, reduce government spendings and block every loopholes. When this is achieved, there will be more than enough for the masses. At present the budget stands at 75%:25% in favor of recurrent expenditure, no country can grow with such arrangement. The budget need to be 65%:35% in favor of capital expenditure at least. We have enough in the country, we need to create jobs by investing in Sports, Tourism, Agriculture, Expand the Oil Sector, strengthen the Civil Service and the Security Agencies, revamp the education sector, entertainment industry, The rail must work, electricity be fixed, good road network and make business viable among others. We also need to Improve the manufacturing sector and discourage Importation through favorable government policies |

Good job @ OP and all lovers of Nigeria and good governance which APC is sure to bring via Gen Buhari As it is written in Ps 69 v 8-10.... 8 I have become estranged from my brothers and an alien to my mother's sons. 9 The zeal for Your house has consumed me, And the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me 10 When I wept in my soul with fasting, It became my reproach The need to remedy the destruction of Nigeria by PDP is the fire that is burning in APC and Gen Buhari's belly and that is why he and those who love Nigeria should never be cowered by the leprosical propaganda of the children of hate APC can never be compared pound for pound with PDP.......The assemblage of men of high cerebral content in APC is always a thing of joy for me |

Most of these measures can't create jobs that are sustainable. What we need to focus on is to create businesses in areas where we import finished products and export raw materials.Areas like clothing and textiles, rice ,sugar, electronics and IT goods..What determines the sustainability is who is the final consumer of goods and services. If we train 1million welders and there is no welding project/service to engage them its all in vain.Among the Nigerian governors I think only Rauf Aregbesola has understood these dynamics very well. America under Bill Clinton created AGOA to help low income countries access to American large consumer markets. Nigeria has not been able to really harness this opportunity. Governance is all about ideas to advance the welfare of the people and solve problems while for us in Nigeria its all about massaging the problems and making noise |

I took time to read your abstracts and juxtaposed them with T. A. Orji claims of Industrial revolution and youth empowerment. I think T. A. Orji won If all these obnoxious "set to build", "signed MoU", "flagged off", "laid the foundation" and so many intentions were not an act of political deception meant to activate media hysterics and flattery, I would've given them the credits had these claims affected the lives of their citizens. Setting an agenda is one thing, building a bridge to nowhere is still an agenda but why are the people in those APC controlled States too hungry and ready to die for free things? |

Thank you didn't say,apc led fed. government will create 20m jobs across Nigeria but states through funding though you fail to mention how the fed. government will fund the states apart from the monthly allocation that had made most states become indolent. APC is saying that, it led federal has nothing to do with job creation but it can only assist the states in job creation through funding. Now whom do we blame for lack of jobs in Nigeria. Most ridiculously by saying adopted from Lagos state Ekiti and Osun state , If i may ask, if really that's true, what were the level of unemployment in those states as at then and what is been so far 0btained via these so called blueprints? Is it really reducing? then why these states had the highest number of job seekers as clearly shown by the immigration tragedy? (Sowi to recall this sad event) If this is real,'the road map' of APC in creating jobs in Nigeria for the teaming youths then its a show of shame for another amature set of clowns that wants take the nation to another stand still. Any individual, people, group, nation etc that tailored its economy on consumption rather than production is doomed to fail. As APC is using Lagos state as yard stick, what's really lagos state, what is Lagos and the other state producing, manufacturing and exporting? Its really a display of another vision less and direction less set of clowns. Think on what to PRODUCE,you 'll create all the jobs you wants to create. What to all the refineries/factories,think on what to do with energy. |

baccaspace:The APC should try and stay off investing directly into this area but can create a roadmap for its development. The Aspect i agree on investing into sport is for all schools (primary and secondary) should have very good sport facilities, sport tutors, physical education instructors etc but stay off to an extent, the various sport federations most especially football. Tourism is a very good revenue for a state directly or indirectly, i feel the government need to invest more into provision of infrastructural development like electricity, water, roads, security etc and rule of law. If these things are put in place, it will open up the country tourism market from within Nigeria cos of our population. When you have peace and rest of mind wont you want to travel and relax. Agriculture, is excellent and let our policy works toward using our population to our advantage. Lets forget feeding the outside world, but concentrate in creating the available market within Nigeria. Imagine in Osun state they consume 300k egg weekly on feeding the 254k children every week. Imagine feeding every primary school student in Nigeria. That is weekly consumption of like 10m eggs weekly different from other consumption. I feel the government should concentrate on creating a big market. The Government should reduce investment but increase their strength in providing capacity, enabling environment etc. |

obua:Thats why vocational training is a priority for the Apc, their graduates get grants to get them started. The only welfare in that policy is for the elderly and weak. |

Obiagelli:In addition to all these, with a population of over 200million people with almost half being veritable workforce youths, this can mark the beginning of massive industrial boom, as we will have a large pool of workforce, giving us a comparative advantage to produce more, match consumption and export in larger volumes. A reversal may be the case where FDIs will be chasing us. Remember that many blue-chips took their production plants to Asian countries - China, Taiwan, Singapore etc. to take advantage of the economics of scale and with lower production costs.......fast forward later these Asian countries have had their economies further boomed as these industries are there to stay and even "photocopies" of these companies were done. A friend opined that the Jinbey Bus (the Toyota Hi-Ace wannabe) is the byproduct of Toyota's "misadventure" into China.mistudreh: This is real.... In 2006, when Ogbeni came to launch his campaign in the state of Osun, he distributed some books titled "my pact with the people of Osun". In it, he said: "I will provide jobs for 20,000 youths within my first 100days in office". I laughed when I read that and I said this man must be high on something. But to glory of God, he has been able to do that.I tell you these are simple straight forward policies, the best part is looking inwards instead of chasing FDIs all over the place. This is not some guess work (trial and error), this policies are currently working in many Apc states. Let us prove to street urchins, that they stand a better chance working in establishment that pays more, equip them with skills, expose them to little or no danger and give them better means of livelihood than "thugging" at motor parks, busstops, recruited for electoral malpractices, book haram, OPC & Massob miscreants etc |

Personally I think the major area APC will succeed its their ability to cause change. I am certain with APC there will be change. I don't have time for specifics, economics or funny jargons. but like I tell people any government that can fix OSHODI can fix anything. |

FearGodinall:I believe you read about technical and vocational training, this is what drives the german economy for instance, real development is grassroot driven with enabling environment/support from the federal government. Apc is preaching decentralisation, Apc is looking inward. Osun is doing fantastic in agriculture, same for nasarawa. How do you think these states increase IGR? Definitely not taxes along. |
