Also, jus 2days after i put off the AC and fan, he has developed heat rashes on his face n neck cos he sweats a lot. I dnt want my baby to get cold neither do i like d rashes on his face. Pls experienced mums advice

@firstimer, I experienced what you described above with my baby. she sweats a lot too. she had that nose block thing. I wasnt really worried because she was doing well. so during one of our hospital visit,I mentioned it to doctor and he prescribed a nasal decongestant and vitamin C. nasal decongestants are not meant to be used for long or else a rebound effect would occur. so after some days I stopped using it. The improvement wasn't much. I continued with the vit. c and stopped too after my mother insisted I stopped forcing drugs into my daughter's mouth so she used shea butter to rub the top of her nose and also after every diaper change. and that was how her breathing became normal.
for the sweating. abeg, reduce the duration of a.c and fan ( personally I feel the fan is worse) . my mother in law will say better rashes than chest infection. you can always deal with the rash but dealing with respiratory issues is worse. my daughter still has the rash often too but I can cope with that. I rarely put on fan. I only put it on on hot nights when there is no power supply. but most times a.c. you can also leave the door open for fresh air to come in but get an air purifier from one of these big pharmacies.

Hello house, my baby is 7 weeks old. Last week when we went for out 6week checkup in d hospital. I complained to d doc dat my baby sneezes, dont no if he has cold. The doc checked his chest n ruled out cold, n asked us not to keep him in air conditioned room again. But now my baby grunts while breathing, like he has catarrh but no running nose. Pls who has experienced this before

i think he ll b fyn.He s breathing will 'normalise' as he develops.Concerning d rashes, pls dont cover hin too much.smtyms mothers forget these babies are also human.Keep him in a well ventilated room wt moderate clothing.rising raving powder works too for rashes.

Yes,she has been using black soap.It got finished and I bought from another source.

I give celerac in d morning and night,then pap in d afternoon, then breastmilk whenever I feel like.I don't know d current weight but he is not kin big,then as for tin of milk a week

I think u shld feed more often. like 3-4hrly during d day.U still continue wt BM both day and nyt.D impt parameter to kno weda he s well mourished or nt is by weighing him.If u can go to d nearest healthcentre to u, pls go and weigh him.so u ll kno wen he s adding or loosing.wot did he weigh as at 9months immunization?

I started my LO on Frisogold too but stopped later when I realized he's allergic to it-nasal congestion. No sugar or honey yet but I do add blended date & formula to his cereals & or pap.

Hello mothers,my 8month baby dnt like to eat,anytime I want to feed him,I use force to give him d food,I just start him on pap and I've been giving him cerelac since when he was 6month,I was thinking maybe it was d pap making him nt to eat,bt he was also doing dat with cerelac,I tried giving him vitamin B (multivitamin)to bring back his appetite,bt I'm still forcing him to eat,my mum said when a baby is about to stand up,they dnt like to eat,I dnt knw how true it is,pls mothers advice me on what to do

firstimer, from my experience, its better LO sleeps wt either AC or fan. LO wil sleep better. fresh air is good but as long as ur child sweats, dere wil b rashes. initially, I was cover cover mama inside heat o bt after he got a bout of rashes, no one taught me.
BUT make sure d temperature of d AC is cool nt cold. I usually put mine btwn 22 to 26 & his head stays covered while he's fully kitted in bodysuit. & I rub sheabutter mixed wt a lil mentholatum on his chest, back and nose bridge.
if it's fan, don't put d child directly under it or facing it.
