Luke 15:22 (kjv) 'But the father said to his servants, bring forth the best robe, and put it on him: and put a ring on His hand, and shoes on his feet.'

This is the parable of the prodigal son told by Jesus to teach how God receives sinners (lost souls) into the Kingdom joyfully and open-handedly. But what I want you to know is that according to Jesus, when the son returned, the father put a RING on his finger.

Correct me if am wrong but Jesus would never use something that is wrong or is a sin to talk about God and the Kingdom. Because the parable clearly shows that the father signifies God, and the prodigal son signifies sinners (lost souls), while the son that never left signifies those already in Christ. So if Jesus could say the father put a RING (jewelry) on his son's finger just to welcome him back home, then I don't think God has a problem with us putting on Jewelry; neither is it a sin. But as we all know, too much of everything ain't good, so atleast we should put it on in a decent & fitting manner as our bodies are the temple of the Most High God. #GodBless

I don't wear jewelry because i grew up without it. I don't think it's a sin though.

They painful thing with christains that believe such hogwash is that you cannot convince them even if you bring hundred pastors.
Secondly they always have the latest gist about one brother or sister that went to hell and saw people burning.
Thirdly and this is my personal opinion.they are unhappy christains and this stems from the fact that they are always judging other christains.
And the final one is that they have believes a lie and until they get to heaven you won't convince them.therefore anywhere I see them,I leave them to their ignorance.

This issue still remain a sensitive aspect in our Christian beliefs and
doctrines but i believe both side of the divide are right...it is just that sentiments and doctrines of our churches have been made as a guide rather than letting the Bible which should be our only doctrine.
If you said it is not a sin, you are very right and the scripure you
quoted above is on of the many places that backed that belief up but is also very wrong to condemn those who decide or purpose in ther hrt not to be wearing or using those things.

For those who said it is a sin, you are not far from been right but you fail to give a valid explaination for you claim. What is sinful abt jewelries and all that is the way ladies have idolized it. to most ladies, they arent beautiful until they make up, put on jeweries, show us there curves e.t.c..that is what is sinful and what God is warning us from.. so if som1 choose to do away from it all b4 it turns him/her to an idolatarer, don't condemn him/her...things like this becomes a personal decisn.

today i am told by pastor e a adeboye in the open heavens that satan loves jewellries.i knew that already.the problem is this.satan is trying to copy God(first in worship,praise that is why there are so many religions).and u know NOW,Satan is the god of the world so everything in this world that satan has corrupted God has relinquished ownership of it(jewellries being one of them) because he is going to destroy it..it is most times manipulated by satan.believe it or not an occultist can project a demon into a jewelry and present it to you as a gift.another reason is that satan has made jewelry a thing of the world seeing that it makes you to be more focused on your physical appearance rather than how you look before God.it makes you not to care about God but about SELF -an enemy we need to wage war against.And it is the problem with so many women.in addition to all these lipstick and the rest.am just sori for anyone who doesn't want to understand the fact that The Holy Trinity would not want them to wear jewelry anymore considering the fact that Satan is using the marine kingdom to pollute so many women's lives through jewelry.

You say everything in the world is satan's right? so how about gold? is it also evil? if yes, then correct me if am wrong but I believe the bible mentions in Rev 21:21 that 'The twelve gates were twelve pearls; each gate was made from a single pearl. The street of the city was of pure gold, transparent as glass.' (that's talking about heaven). so do you mean God created heaven using something evil?
