Since the world cup in brazil, i have been having this feeling that Musa can play as a center forward. He has a very dangerous accuracy when its just him and the keeper. Another point to back up my hunch is that Musa shot placing instincts is quite similar to Neymar's. See the way he scored the two goals against Argentina and what he did against Sudan. Am having this feeling he is not been well utilized For example,we all know Neymar as a winger but Scolari made him a center forward in Brazil during the world cup and he was more deadly by scoring 4 goals in about 5 appearances i think. My suspicion may be wrong though but i need you guys to analyze the issue. Try and rewatch video clips of how Musa scores his goals when in the 18 yard box and compare it to Neymar's. Its quite similar but its just that Neymar is better. |

This is a statement I made in Nov. 2013, before the game against Argentina. This is why when people criticise Coach Keshi, I complain. It takes time to shape a team. The comment is the: Coach Keshi is getting Musa to play the Striking role, while Emenike, Ideye, Shola Ameobi bring the ball down from long balls. Musa is learning now. Musa's problem is his inconsistency, not wateva position he plays. As a wing forward, ur major strength lies in ur ability to cut inside from d flanks aside from d counter attacking. Suarez scored more goals than any other Centre forward in the league last season but was never played as a Centre forward. Musa doesn't have all d abilities to play as a Centre forward but has to improve on his skills to support his speed. |
