egift:why Jonathan, how many people have been accused of fraud in this administration. what is the relationship between Buhari and other heads of state and ministers both dead and alive EG OBJ,IBB, shonekan, Gowon , Abacha family and others. do you think this people are inconsequential in Nigerian politics?. do you think they will let him come and destroy what is left of them? my only hatred for him is his extream northern agenda. who are his allies in the east other than Amaechi and his followers in the south, who are his allies. other than past glory, what is he known for today. must he enter Aso rock to make his mark in Nigeria and the lives of Nigerians? |

Omimah:Could you in all honesty answer this question, why did Buhari ask that Boko Haram members should not be killed? Why did he request for them to be treated in like the ND militants? That they should be hosted in Aso Rock and also be paid? Why did Boko Haram include him among those that will negotiate for them? |

Sometimes egift is bereft of ideas How can Bokoharam be afraid of a close confidant? It is no secret that he earned their trust (no pun intended) to nominate him as their negotiator with a possible venue in Saudi Arabia which the General declined. Is his refusal to stand for Bokoharam an act of bravery or cowardice? Is Bokoharam by this singular gesture shows their displeasure on his government or the opposite? There is no amount of media packaging that will make the majority voters (Nigerians) to accept a despot to rule over us come 2015. |

Delafruita:Me? An obsession with Buhari? No sir. Rather I see that the younger generation are obsessed with the unrepentant tyrant who wants power at all cost. He's got no other obsession apart from to rule Nigeria. We are doing all we can to stop the evil from happening. The points we make are glaring and all you guys can do is to all us names. Why did BokoHaram nominate Buhari to represent them in their proposed discussions in Saudi Arabia? Why did he request Fed Govt to treat BH like Niger Delta militants and complained that govt was killing them. We cant forget his delusion of implementation of Sharia across Nigeria. I should rather ask why you guys are obsessed with a man who is obviously is obsessed with primitive ideologies. After truncating democracy, he today wants to benefit for a system he destroyed. He succeeded in his coup and today he is an ex-head of state, receiving allowance for that. Talk about honoring a thief. |

Deiok:It is Buhari and is gang of criminal minded soldiers like IBB and Abach (birds of the same feather)who for their greedy and rascality sold Nigeria to the dustbin. Perhaps some of you never knew it was Abacha who announced Buhari's coup that overthrew Shagari. No wonder "Mr. Righteous" is still claiming that Abacha was never corrupt. You either fault the points we are raising or simply keep quiet. Buhari who is already addicted to losing, will never rule Nigeria! QED! If the so called "opposition" cannot bring an intelligent technocrat to fly their flag in the coming elections, then let them wait till 2019. Jonathan is doing a great job and Buhari is not his match! |

What interest me about this post was the claim that Buhari destroyed Maitatsine sect. The sect was never destroyed. They were rather suppressed from public view by the military government for reasons best known to them. Were the Sponsors and real masterminds of the sect brought to book? No. Besides after the so called destruction of the Maitatsine sect, other deadly groups emerged right in full glare of the military government right from 1985-1999. Sara suker for instance were up shoot of the Maitatsine. The killing and destruction of Christians and their worship centres were majorly carried out by those sects. We all know the Bauchi crisis of 1993 were hundreds, if not thousands of lives and worship centres were destroyed. Who were those who carried out these attacks? It was the metamorphosed Maitatsine sect. What was their goal? To Islamise Nigeria. Thus, for anyone to come out and say Buhari destroyed Maitatsine sect is not only fallacious but completely misinformed about the intricacies of insurgency and Almajiri system in Northern Nigeria. To further understand the crux of the matter, first examine how the Maitatsine sect itself was established. There are many questions surrounding the emergence of the Maitatsine sect. - Who are the Sponsors? - What was the reason for their emergence? - What was their major goal? Answers to these questions will show a lot of similarities between the emergence of the Maitatsine sect and Boko Haram. -The Maitatsine sect emerged after Nigeria became a Democracy in 1979. -Boko Haram sect emerged immediately after the return to Democracy in 1999. -The Maitatsine sect originated in the North East of Nigeria. -Boko Haram also originated in the North East. -The Maitatsine sect major aim was to Islamise Nigeria. -Boko Haram sect major goal is to Islamise Nigeria. -The so called leader of the sect (I believe was an imposter) was killed in controversial circumstances. -Boko Haram leader too was killed in Controversial circumstances. These and many more are some similarities surrounding the two groups. Therefore, rather than say Buhari destroyed the Maitatsine sect, it would be save to say the general only played to the gallery by suppressing the group, only for a moment before they emerge at an appointed time. That they did in 1999 through Boko Haram. |

OfficialScatter:Keep living in a delusion! Nigeria is a product of slavery. It was created and named by slave masters. It was created to enhance their business of slavery! Its a shame that some of you accept it as a country. Yes, I have one vote! And I shall do what I can to make expose Buhari for what he is; an repentant tyrant whose only obsession is to rule over us. I have not even started shouting! I Shall continue to shout till after the elections. The purpose of the shout is to alert those who are being decieved to see the truth. Let me repeat it sir, Buhari will never rule again, except if they have their Islamic caliphate. Please, it is Biafra not Biafra! Cheers |

NNEKA2015:They've offered in the past. He's not foolish. They will hire him, work against him, then tarnish his image in the press and his reputation will be ruined forever. Change in Nigeria MUST start at the very top. Nobody under the President can do jack about changing that country. If you're not President you can't effect any long term change ; that's just how the country is structured. |
