First, here is the story.
On Sunday, I heard a story that left me scratching my head
in search of what I would have done if I had found myself on
a similar turf. A man narrated a story of how his resolve was
tested a day to his wedding. He had been pursuing a
particular contract some months before his wedding date.
After several attempts at securing the contract yielded no
results, he gave up. He said he wanted the contract so
desperately because the contract looked like the financial
breakthrough he had been praying for all his life.
Early Friday morning on that fateful, he got a call requesting
him to come down to Abuja the following day to put pen to
paper. To put pen to paper on his wedding day? He had
been selected to execute the contract, the caller informed
him. The deadline to sign the contract was the following day,
his wedding day.
In a twinkling of an eye, the joy that the initial news that he
had been selected to execute the contract disappeared. A
sense of despair set in. The caller did not want to hear
excuses. He didn’t want to know whether it was a burial or a
wedding. “Tomorrow or never,” he insisted.
“Come down to our office tomorrow to sign the contract or
we will look for another contractor without excuses to
handle it for us,” the man insisted. Oh boy, see confusion!
He called the lady he was supposed to get married to the
following day to seek her opinion. The lady told him to
forget about the contract initially but when he mentioned
the anticipated profit from the contract, the lady became
speechless. He quickly called a a couple of friends to explain
his ordeal. His story was greeted with some mixed feelings.
Some friends advised him to shift the wedding to a future
date while some were opposed to the idea. They encouraged
him to forget about the contract that many more would
come in the future. Luckily for him, the man later called
back to say he could come on Monday morning to sign the
contract.
So the question is, if the man didn’t call back, what would
you have done if you were in the groom’s shoes?
I heard something very similar to this as a joke, however, it
dawned on me that it could truly happen to anybody after I
heard the man’s story
Ladies what would you advice your man to do, move the
wedding to another date or what? Guys would forfeit 20
million worth of contract because of your wedding?

Since the whole bidding stuff and the others have being done before..... Just only remaining the signing of contract which I know the representative can do that for me on mah behalf









With that I have used a stone to kill two birds

I will postpone the wedding.

Whatever happened to taking a flight?

After the wedding na to fly straight. With the tuxedo and every every. Men! The tension will be too much.

I have only 1 sister. Her wedding was on the same day as an exam I had to write. Different states. I asked the exam organisers to please let me write on another day and they refused. Mehn, I rushed my paper (thank God I passed. Not so well, but passed), rushed to airport, flew down to Lag, rushed to venue and barely missed the wedding. But at least, I was there.

You never know how to react to these situations until you find yourself there. Me, I'll tell the priest/pastor to rush the weddin ceremony, rush the reception, then rush down to sign my contract! That's if I can't send someone to sign for me.


Hold on, what of if I get someone to stand in the wedding for me?

Will tell the pastor to just read the vows and rush down

Do the reception when I go back to the wedding venue
