The event of strike is not alien to our society. All avenues of collective bargaining are to be harnessed as strike should be the last resort.
It's only an irresponsible government will play down the welfare of its workforce.

NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT weds CORRUPTION; With the power vested on me, I pronounce you husband&wife... till death do you part.

During the administration of OBJ there was slight increase in the salaries of civil servants, now in GEJ administration they want to reduce it! Haba! In the spirit of oneness and equity why didn't the NASS reduce their massive take home pay. And some people here will say GEJ till 2019.

Akoba adaba olorun ma ja ri GEJ till 2019!.

Chai what kind of people do we harbour in nigeria, for what reason are they planning to deregulate salaries of civil servants, when the poverty is increasing, when they should be planning on how to improve the lives of nigerians, by employing more? The pigs re there squandering bribes and huge undeserved salaries, and now they re planning to cause war in nigeria, re there no other important things to discuss again, i think they must be joking..

See! These politicians are just heartless. how can they be thinking of deregulating the meagre pay civil servants get, when they cart away with tens and hundreds of millions every month??
chai...this is too wicked of them...people are struggling to send their children to school, struggling to build their own houses yet u want to cut their pay.
And Yet SEUN says we shouldn't insult them.

#theres a need for wepeople to come out in our numbers to protest this issue. we truly need a revolution

You guys are so funny. Wage deregulation doesn't necessarily entail salary reduction but a removal of wages and salaries matter from the exclusive list to the concurrent list so that both the FG and state givts determine and decide what they pay their workers. This is against the present practice where wages and salaries ofboth FG, state and LGs workers are fixed by the National Salaries and Wages Commision an agency of the FG. If the move succeds state govts will have their own agencies that will be responsible for fixing workers salaries.
State govts will now fix salaries depending on the economy of the state involved.
Labour knows this move will drastically reduce the powers of the labour unions and that's why they fight.
