I am not hating on a brother here but i think its just plain tacky. Money doesn't always buy class. The LV and Chanel logo throw pillows should have been replaced with local Ankara or something ethnic and the white colour theme is just not practical for a couple with young kids. I am sure many of us have seen some lovely interiors in House and Garden magazine that still look livable; this is not one of them.
This design would work better in a nightclub/bar and I strongly suspect that the building is one of those ones built by Haven Homes. Check out www.thehavenhomes.com and go to the gallery and see the way they did their interior decor i.e. Minimalist,Modern,Livable and Classy.

I agree with what you said about the design working for a club or Lounge.. Infact, his Nightclud (MVP) has the exact same walls as he does inside his house. I think I remember seeing similar looking tall chairs as well..
