For those of us who hav being on nairaland for awhile, you would agree with me that one of the reason some people comment is for the chance to get the number of " likes" increased.

When we open a thread or comment on one, we press the refresh button from time to time to see who liked our comment (at least I do dat)there is this pseudo sense of satisfaction when we see the number of "likes" soar. U wud be like "mehn! Am fly! People like my comment

While some people get this "likes" by opening very thought provoking threads, others drop a funny comments. Others go all out by asking for it."Push the "Like" button if u agree" and "like if u disagree".some say its my birthday, pls" like"( as though dem they use am collect money from bank)
So now am throwing it to the house, what r the other ways, u hav noticed how people "fish" for "likes"

NB am not to sure where this topic wud fit into that why I put it here

i don't post here because of likes but because i want to air my opinion.

besides, the number of likes does not really determine or reflect the intelligence or humour of a post.

a fool could make a foolish comment, hundred fools come across it and like it.

i've seen it happen here coutless times

It doesn't mean a fool made the comment neither does it mean fools liked it.
It only goes a long way in showing that human ideologies differ.

If I give you the name of high profile Janjäweeds who are involved in this brazen act and even rig "likes" with their poly-monikers, you will be shocked to the marrows.
