DollyParton1:
32years ago is different from now.
32 years ago, there was no Boko Haram
32 years ago there was no sharia law practicing states.
32years ago there was no such great urge/awareness of Islamist taking over the world.
Right now there is a time bomb. Everything is unbalanced a small tip can send the whole thing tumbling.
Wether Jonathan or Buhari get elected, we will be singing same songs in years to come.
God bless you my lady, god bless you front and back

Who told you that sitting at home is the best option? You and those supporting your foolish opinion are the problem of this country.

Funnily enough we are all going to bear the burnt of your foolish action or inaction.

When Jonathan increase the price of fuel, didn't it affect everybody?

Op, do go out and vote. Defend it because it matters.
Do votes count in naij, since election fraud is rife?

So the question is: is it worth the risk, based on how tense the atmosphere is?

And if folks can be brave enough to waste their energy on a worthless violent election that'll be rigged, why can't they get brave and start a revolution to rid themselves off these plonkers from both parties holding their collective destiny to ransom? Both parties are worthless - ditto the candidates.

Defend the country and fight the power!!

The revolution will not be televised - Chuck D speaking! grin

I will still go and vote even though my vote won't count.

I really want to stay at home too but my guilt will not let me. I was part of those who put Nigeria in its present mess by voting for the shoeless retar.deen. Come 2015, i want to correct my mistake and send the fisherman back to Otuoke

Shymexx, this government has divided us more than any other. An average Nigerian psche have been bastardize by years of civil and military rule. Revolution is about fighting the status quo but my fear is that in Nigeria it will be about the citizen fighting each other.

Election in Nigeria is always tense. Despite it during election we don't always have much violence in comparison to post election. And YES vote do count.

I haven't decided who to vote for between GEJ and GMB.
I'm afraid if GEJ is re-elected, terrorism might be more intense, thereby, making innocent souls to be losing their lives.
I'm also afraid if GMB is elected, he might islamise the country. Another fear i have about GMB is that, he seems to be bitter and revengeful, if he's elected, he might be using all the time he's suppose to use to perform and prove his opposition wrong to winch-hunt his oppositions and past political office holders.

I may not vote on the election day.
if two lions r pursing u, then they decide to fight eachoda. Would u separate their fight or leave dem?

I hear that.

However, I don't know much, but as a student of Nigerian history - I honestly don't know when in naij's history where the people's votes have ever been a factor. Even the first ever election in the country monitored by the Brits was rigged...with Zik and all the declassified MI6 files alluded to that. And subsequently, it has always been the same pattern.

Anyway, if you think it'll count this time cos nothing is impossible - then folks should go out en masse to vote, and defend their votes. But with an authoritarian ruling the country; all the threats and counter-threats; and both parties just caring about their selfish interests and not the people - I won't bet on that.

I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

They all fail to let common sense be there guide. I mean muslims have ruled this country more than christians and if they the muslims couldn't Islamize Nigeria, I don't see Buhari doing it. Even Abacha with all his gra gra couldn't. So what tha hell!!!.

you maybe right right tho. but seems u don't get to understand the only language we nigerians get is violence and not all of us can be... You going to a TV station to make a pronouncement like this, people will jus think that maybe he is hungry and is looking for cheap fame too. And mind you,I only use my Voters card for bank purposes alone and might as well burn it today
@Bold where did you get that notion or assumption from?
can you explain to me how true that is?

i don't get who is going to the t.v station to announce?
you mean fela or who?

what exactly is this person going to announce?

am actually quite lost now.

I like the objectivity in your post. Anyway you still have time to decide.. Just vote with your conscience.

I sit down in the corner of my room sometimes and think if it will be possible if nigerians can just co-operate for once and stay at home during the general elections and let Jonathan and Buhari decide whoever they want to put on the seat. Since we have rip the dividends of democracy since 1999,I see no reason why we should keep voting for politicians that don't even care about us and fail woefully at the end... Believe this are times we need FELA,cos he is the only one that could make Nigerians see reason... As for me o,I jus did the voter card but I'd die if I ever vote..
In the words of chief Zebrudaya: "Fa fa fa, Fao". The picture below clearly show my stand!.

Buhari didn't islamize Nigeria when he was military head of state, how will do it as civilian?

Btw what does islamize mean self? Turn every Christian to muslim? Does that make any sense?
