It seems now that OBJ has waged open instead of semi open war on GEJ for bumping him out of the PDP's power structure, some APC nairaland supporters now feel that he's not only a performing president, but a righteous political and social critic and former performing president.

APC supporters have turned what should be every Nigerians natural disappointment in the Nigerian political class to a hatred for 'PDP' which really stems from a personal hatred of Goodluck Jonathan and his wife. Why just PDP? How is it that you hate PDP, but you support

Kwankwaso
Nyako
Obasanjo
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi
El Rufai
Rotimi Amaechi
Rochas Okorocha
Atiku
Olusegun Obasanjo

and other founding members of the PDP lol. Men that have been in PDP longer than Jonathan has been in politics as a whole. If suddenly Obasanjo is good, and you have also decided that Yar'Adua was good, then why do you hate PDP? That means PDP in the mind of an APC member has provided good leadership since 1999 and it's only GEJ that has interrupted that.


This is what happens when you hate more than you reason. You stop making sense. If suddenly Obasanjo is a saint, and Jonathan a devil, that means PDP has provided you with a saint longer than it has provided a devil. If Amaechi is now a saint, then can we complain about PDP rule in Rivers which over half of his tenure was with PDP? What about Kwankwaso? If Atiku is now a champion of democracy and has been in PDP for the whole of the civilian period then thank PDP for presenting this man.


I personally support Goodluck Jonathan and I will not heed to anyone that has declared they will make Nigeria ungovernable to fullfill their birth right of ruling me. I can see what he has done for infrastructure (railways, airports, agricultural revolutions, manufacturing revolution, satellite launches, almajiri school, 1 university for every state etc) and want him to do more.

This being said I can admit the PDP is corrupt, the APC is corrupt, and pretending that one if full of saints and the other devils is illogical and a mark of limited education. I am disappointed by the entire Nigerian political class including Jonathan and understand they're only against each other when one stop sharing money with them and realign when the money returns. I'm not going to pretend because I does me and my country no good, especially to the extent that I will now pretend Obasanjo is a progressive.

PDP = APC and vice versa. No saint in Nigerian politics, maybe in five generations to come but certainly not now or the next.

Op, u failed to understand something. Apc posters are not pro-obj, it is beacause ur hat-capped and shoeless paymaster has performed so woefully that u see members of apc making reference to obj. If ur paymaster was doin well, i dont think we would have any reason to think of obj's govt in any positive 'light'. And that's the problem of Nigeria; one wrong leader leaves office and another one that's worst takes over from him...thereby leaving Nigerians with no option than to prefere the 'out-gone' leader. Have u asked urself why no Nigerian prefered obj's tenure to Yaradua's? Becos yaradua days were better even though he was slow. But here we have gej who is worst than obj in all ramification...you can see why we now prefer obj.
My prayer remain that may we never kick out a clueless leader like gej and replace him with someone more destructive than him(gej) which is typical of Nigeria...amen/ameen!

I have decided I dont wanna be a "progressive" not when the likes of Buhari, Atiku, Tinubu and Amechi are staring the boat.
As soon as I have a brand of real progressives like Abubakar Umar (I mean Dangiwa. please, where is he? ), Pat Utomi, Wole Soyinka is now old, else, Olisa Agbakoba, Ben Bruce, etc, then I can join.

But to recycle the same retrogressive politicians who have been forcing themselves on us as our leaders and call them progressives just because they are against Jonathan is what I will never accept.

The APC supporters are not really progressives in the sense of it, they simply don't like Jonathan!
So anything that opposes Jonathan becomes a "progressive". It is a big shame.

@Op, what even pissed me off the more was when those APC clowns met him at his Hilltop Mansion few months back only to call him 'their Navigator' and I wondered the level of confusion with these lot to arrive at that the question is, what is Obj navigating? You're missing the point. In PDP they know it's a matter of alliances and don't care. In APC they know it's a matter of alliances and lie to us by saying it's common ideology.


Nigerian politics is about theft. That's the simple and plain fact. It is based 100% of theft. If you're stealing your calm, if you're not stealing you change allies until your gang of thieves and win and compensate you for lost times. When GEJ starts paying Kwankwaso he will join PDP by sunrise. Why do you think it was only second term governors that defected? A first term governor has time to plan his next theft plan. With no presidency, vice, senate, ministry, house etc open for those 'defectors' under GEJ, they thought that defeating him will open the floodgates to lucrative positions. If there's an Atiku presidency for example he will have to fill the cabinet from A to Z and that's what 'opposition' members want. Had Atiku been given the nom he will be so into PDP that his children wouldn't recognize him.

Remember when Sule Lamido was going to defect, but stopped to shield his son's corruption? Anyone telling Nigerians PDP is different from APC for that APC has a plan or ideology is a liar. PDP never boasted of an ideology because they're more honesty about their dishonesty.
