Elizabeth Lauten was the communications director for Republican Congressman Stephen Fincher. She raised eyebrows this past weekend when a Facebook post that she wrote about the First Daughters went viral. Lauten wrote about President Obama's daughters' appearance at his pardoning of the National Thanksgiving Turkey on Wednesday, Nov. 26 thus:

"Dear Sasha and Malia," the disgraced GOP staffer begins. "I get you're both in those awful teen years, but you're a part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part you play. Then again your mother and father don't respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I'm guessing you're coming up a little short in the 'good role model' department. Nevertheless, stretch yourself," Lauten went on. "Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don't make faces during televised, public events."

she deleted the post after receiving loads of negative comments. she even issued a public apology online but it was not enough to save her job.
The word out there is that she voluntarily resigned, but you and i know better.

MORAL: No public figure wants a loose cannon as a member of staff.

That's what happens in a sane and organised society. Try instilling such on Nigerians and they go berserk! The opposition has insulted the first family known and unknown plus their dead ancestors and yet to be born kids and when we talk, they claim freedom of speech, claim democracy. Anyway, this too shall pass

Had the circumstances been different, she probably could've weathered this, but she's a mere 'communications director' serving a congressman. She was terminated for bringing bad press to her superior, and her party. Nowadays, most/all companies/organizations have clauses that prevent employees from posting negative and/or harmful content on social media. I mean, what the hell was she thinking? What an idi.ot!

Yea, she must have let her emotions get the beta of her. I think some people will never come to terms with having the Obamas in the white house.
