YungwizzzyPt7:NAHCO stands for Nigeria Aviation Handling Company - the privatised organisation responsible for handling cargo goods imported into Nigeria via the Murital Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. The company operates a bonded warehouse for storage of all goods coming into the country and facilitates clearance processes on behalf of FAAN (Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria) as well as enables revenue generation access for the Nigeria Customs on behalf of the Federal Government. Though it is not the only bonded warehouse at MMA Cargo Section, it is the more affordable alternative for cargo airlines and cargo clearing agents. DHL owns the other bonded warehouse and clears items almost exclusively for its own DHL Express Cargo from all over the world. |

kennygee:I admire your temperament, if it were to other nairalanders, they would have insulted me for engaging them. keep it up, we need Nairalanders to be like you let me explain more; NACHO is responsible for clearing goods sent via cargo shipping at the airport. so goods sent since over 2 weeks ago haven't been cleared because of the strike. most of my colleagues were affected |

Very shameful! I left the country to do some business for which goods were to be sent to me by air from Lagos...but the strike started the day i left...and i have been here waiting for it to re-open. Today i decided to give up and return to naija...they re-open..wasted trip. Stupid part is that the strike was caused over personal grievances between customs and nahco officials. Not even grievances with the govt. Our country funny sha |
