My Samsung Galay Core 4.1 Jellybean will always redirect to a page while browsing,, telling me to Upgrade my Phone Version that itz outdated..
It ask me to click on the Update botton..
From wht i know to update my phone,, there must be a reliable Data or Wifi and also a Good battery fully charged..
Who else got this on his/her Samsung phone..
How much Data is needed 10mb/50mb/100mb or 500mb to complete the update.??
How long will the process take..??
Please.... I need help b4 go ahead on ma phone,,, i dont want to Risk anything...!!!

I donno about you bro,but when I had my gionee p2 and wanted to upgrade it,it took me about an hour and the file size was 1 gig+.
if data is the problem you can subscribe for etisalat payg or even do glo his and connect using your hotspot.

I don't think Samsung dishes out updates via redirections from a web page. Most likely an ad

U can always check if ders any recent update for ur firmware in settings.. That should also show you the size of the update. (shouldn't be more than 600mb)

You are so right. The said upgrade is fake, they'll probably redirect you to download an app you don't need.

They are spam messages you get when you visit certain sites regardless of the phone you use

am having such issues too.when i want to download from movies mobile it rederects me and will say my s3 andriod version is old .

Bro, it's an ad from those websites.
Am on the latest version of my phone ie KitKat.
Yet, I get those when I visit some websites.

Check through OTA, to see if there's really an upgrade for your phone

if its on a webpage from browser then its just a scam javascript advert from the site. phone updates will notify on notification bar or from settings, system update.

I have no problem downloading large files that require extra large M. B..
When will F. G and mobile operators give us access to WiFi...??.. South Africa rocks...

that stuff ure seeing is jst ad, some time u might get something like virus alert while browsing. So either u download ad away or u use uc browser, then go to setting and disable ad.
