All sectors of our society can be transformed in simple ABC steps. When I come back I will want you all to challenge me. Mention just one area and lets begin to share thoughts and you actually see that we can make progress. Let's engage is productive knowledge exchange.

3. Is any of these Chimes or Chimas fault? No. No no. It is the fault of my great grand mother. If Okpara could transform the larger Eastern region in just 7 years, with nothin Zilch (shishi) from the centre, your Messiah Chime has 8years and over N1tr to help his people and he did was pave roads

You are just not intelligent. I dont know how many times i will tell you this. You are comparing okpara that hand a much free hand to control his eastern economy and dash the center their share to this current dispensation? Kai

Any oil producing states finance and future depends on federal intervention so if it is decieded that oil producing states get 1% derivation, tell me what the fate of rivers delta, anambra that u mentioned, will be?

Bros, we are saying the same thing.

Spyder likes to show off pictures of paved roads of main thoroughfares, not really streets where people live.

You tell me things are working and such examples as you have stated above are being meted on poor hapless souls in Enugu by commissioned agents of government. Didn't ESWAMA staff kill a little innocent boy the other day for heloping him mum to throw away refuse?

And we are flying

Dude take your bitterness and empty talk to your state and leave Enugu citizens to celebrate the infrastructural improvements in their state.

Rome was not built in a day and even so, Rome does not have all it needs yet. Therefore, Enugu will not have all it needs to soar immediately.
The important thing is that improvement is being made gradually in Enugu, unlike some weird places as your state where your politicians sponsor Boko Haram terrorists with the money meant for development to kill fellow citizens for fun.

Poor people and their neighborhoods exist all around the world. If Hurricane Katrina did not hit New Orleans, we would never have seen pictures of poor neighborhoods as lower ninth ward that is worse than Obiagu existing right there in New Orleans! In your estimation, Spyder should ignore the good things happening in his state and post the poor neighborhoods and the misery of the poor to satisfy your sadistic jealousy.

If Spyder does not celebrate the improvements in his state by posting them here, who will do it for them? CNN or BBC?

Absolutely! I agree 100%. But we must prioritize based on our tiny resources.
I usually remind all that Enugu is about the poorest state in Nigeria in terms of federal allocation. Those that schemed such lopsided allocation against the SE were exactly hoping the place would NEVER develop, but the Igbo ingenuity have made a nonsense of their evil schemes.

Only the private sector investments will eventually grow Enugu and provide additional resources for the development of our rural areas. Chime's infrastructure will help convince the private sector that Enugu is a good location for business.
I believe Enugu must give attention to the rural areas. But must make the Enugu city ready for business investment by private sector, which will eventually boost the tax base of the state and make resources available for development of the far flung villages in the state..
More like saying you have to walk before you run. Based on a less than N100 billion naira budget in a country where some states get N500 billion naira, Enugu must desperately grow its IGR by developing its biggest city for businesses to flourish as well as create new industrial estates at Emene and Agbani area for new industries to set up in the state.

Why do you always miss the point? Unemad! Unemad!

Abuja is not Enugu nor Lagos nor Ekiti.

Abuja is the centre of the federation. A federation is made up of federating units. It is a federation of the federating units. Our federation is made up of States. They are the ones that should have their economy, you bozo.

Who gave you that phone or laptop? Or have you been smoking something, Unemad?!

In proper fiscal federalism, Enugu's revenue will be retained and a littlle portion sent to the centre. That was how we started in the days of the regions. It was the greed of the Housa/Fulani that led to over centralisation making the federal look like the action point.

Ordinary motor park touts (pigs by Spyder880) have it all arranged. The NURTW Ibadan branch has the resources. Enugu, Ekiti , etc. They retain their park collection dues and make remittances (small proportion) of their proceeds to NURTW national headquarters. That Office at the centre needs do nothing but appropriate what is remitted from the fringes (the federating units)

Let me tell you why you are a complete washout, not deserving of a biafran name:

1. "U talk of oil windfall. Let me ask u. How much is Enugu state budget?" Enugu State budget can be as large as we want it to be. It is small today because the bozos whom you serve and work with have no idea of how to grow local economy which is the recipe for higher IGR. If our IGR is N1tr, Enugu State budget will be N1tr plus what comes from Abuja.

2. "Our biggest natural resource we cannot touch."
I take it to mean coal, right? Why can't you touch it? Play by the rules of the land, onukwu! Anambra floated an Oil Company, not only got allocation of oil well right in the State but also got approval fro refinery. Are you there? Float a power plat, request for rights to your coal, dig it up yourself and sell power to fed government. How does that sound? Probably, you won't comprehend, cos you only know govt is working when a paver is moving up down your street pouring dust on you.

Meanwhile, meanwhile, who tells you coal is Enugu's biggest resources?? Our rich agricultural land is, buffoon.

Price of crude oil is crashing (instigated by USA), but price of PKO (perm kernel oil) is on the rise on international market. It take local indigenous technology to harness Palm oil and PKO. Google Malaysia right now and tell me what you see. Plam fuits taken from your papa's palm is what they have used to grow.

Summary, there is something called mass hypnotism. It is the cause of your jaundiced perseption and I won't lie to you. It is a difficult disease to cure. Ignorance and illiteracy are easier because its like starting from zero. Someone with that disease is like starting from minu 50, depending on how deep it is rooted.

Unemad, you lack grey matter and you are in advanced stage of that disease.
Is any of these Chimes or Chimas fault?

You have actually made some genuine points but you also fail to realise the reality on ground.

Nigeria still has a very long way to go, we need to start somewhere. We may be resource rich but we are still a poor country.

Chime defined his priorities when he came into office which included revamping of the state capital with upgrading of roads , security and I believe provision of potable water.

He vehemently stuck his goals and has largely achieved it.

He did not deceive himself by claiming to be able to solve every problem of the state, rather he looked at his budget and set realisable goals which he pursued.

Now he has succeeded in creating a fairly conducive environment which has even put Enugu on the world map. No one will want to do business in an insecure environment with rundown infrastructure.

Government is a continuum and it is left for the next gov to even take the state further.

I hate eulogising politicians and I acknowledge that Chime is very far from perfect.

Take spyder the producer of this thread for example he does not depend on the government for his livelihood. He goes out there and bring home the bacon.
You have identified the states resources, why can't you use your own intellect, connections and other resources to exploit those resources in your State Enugu and employ these "teeming unemployed" people in the state. For me, I don't see the mere pictures in Spyder's posts.
I see the amazing resurrection of our people from the unprovoked destruction and oppression visited upon us by the wicked souls we share this country with.
Imagine that within 40 years, we rose from some of these pictures below to the pictures Spyder is posting, inspite of the marginalization, exclusion from political power and state policy to deny our zone of any amenities of modern life! It's simply an impressive testimony to our peoples resilient spirit.
