You should move down to Texas, lots of Nigerians/Nigerian restaurants here and gas is a lot cheaper as well. You can't keep starving yourself up north, move down south cool

Ain't nobody got time to be around rednecks and "lots of Nigerians" - Not an attractive combo.

Only place i want to be around "lots on Nigerians" is on Nairaland, or in Nigeria. Out here?.. nah, i'm all set with that.

We're good out in the North/North East cool

But this dude driving 400 miles for some Naija food though.
Abeg, bros try order poundo & egusi send for me through UPS or something.

Last time i saw that was at Naija Independence 2013 in New York.

How about the restaurant at Utica Ave cheesy
It is a hole in the wall, but the egusi is pretty nice.
Me and my boys go there almost every year during the Naija Independence activities. cool

U tried.

Was away sometimes this year. After the first week, i was already looking for local dish as if i am addicted to drugs.

I found any way and i appreciated the one i eat for free in Naija.

It depends what part of Texas though, I don't stay in Houston or any of the "big cities", I stay in Spring and have only come across few Nigerians here. The people here are nice too, "polished", no rednecks lol.

That's a real "back home" restaurant....back home standards, back home atmosphere, back home attitude....can't comment about the food since I don't have ehmmm....the guts to swallow it. Hmm...wonder what grade it is? @Op...these country places close down early...and soke never open on Sunday. I hope you not travelling in vain. Why can't you order ingredients online....and learn to cook from You Tube?...or get someone to teach you to cook? ...just saying!

Are the mods in competition with themselves? The OP posted just two pictures, he has not even begin the journey and pronto it hit the FP. If by any unforeseen circumstances he stop posting those pictures (as it seems now because this thread was created at 2.27 am Nigerian time and hit the front page after 8pm and as at after 9pm now he has not updated his FP thread) what will be the benefit of this thread?

The idea should be, let the OP post a substantial number of his trip pix with stories then it will worth FP.

I tell ya!

Each time we go in there, it feels like we just walked through a teleportation machine, and arrived safely in Naija. cheesy

The standards are damn near below Naija standards.

At least you're greeted with that massive painting of Majek Fashek. cheesy
