The reason Domingo lost was that he's from minority tribe (Akoko Edo) in Edo North [Afemai]. I was at his place on that faithful day. I was there when he left for Oshiomole's Place in Iyamho around 9pm on the eve of the Primaries and came back home around past 4:00am thinking that he had won the heart of the people. He never knew that Oshiomole and one Philip Shaibu (EDHA Majority Leader) had betrayed him. These guys are from Etsako and Alimekhena is also from there.

Etsako and Akoko Edo were Domingo's Strongholds until Oshiomole came in. Out of the 64 Wards in Edo North, Etsako accounts for 32, Owan 22 and we (Akoko Edo's) account for only 10. Etsako voted their Son (as instructed by Oshiomole), Owan voted their son and Akoko Edo never united to vote their son (Domingo).

Oshiomole's fear was that neither Domingo nor Ihonvbere would pledge loyalty to him after leaving the office come 2016. So he decided to impose the 'poor' Francis Alimekhena for easy access. Another fact he considered was that if Domingo goes back to the Senate, he would become a Principal Officer and he won't be able to ask him to step down for him to go to the Senate come 2019 (like the case of Ekwerimadu and Chime).

So touching. Oshio just taught Senator Domingo a simple politics 101. In Politics, you don't just take what an ally says hookline and sinker, you plan for betrayal and contigencies and critically analyse what and what stake exist. Anyway, Sen ObenÐe trusteÐ Oshio and Shuaibu but they "betrayed" him. Î hope it doesn't get him down. My advise to him will depeÑd on his next step

Bros, na so we see am o. Oshiomole has just selected someone he feels would be loyal to him. I respect his decision though. Domingo has said he won't decamp though, he's presently in Lagos for the National Convention. I wouldn't even advise him to decamp to the PDP because it's not an option. Anenih and the late Ekhabafe from Akoko Edo, betrayed him in 2007 as well. He should just stay in APC and fight for another tangible thing.

BTW, hwfa for today convention na?! Hope the all is set for jubilation/celebration after GMB is declared the winner?! That's the only man that would make me step out of my house come February 14th!

You are right on not decamping to PDP, he should remain with the party but start planning towards 2019 oor 2016(if he's interested in the Governorship). He gotta start solidifying his political bloc and encroaching on opponent's strongholds, mending fences but have a target. There are other capacities he can serve at party, state and national level. Hopefully APC win 2015 at federal level.

All is set o, it is Buhari or nothing for me. Nothing for Atiku and Okorocha.

Thanks boss. I would have also advised him to contest thhe 2016 Governorship Election, but he's from the same Senatorial District with Adams Oshiomole. The thing should have been zoned to the Esans, but the Binis may likely get it!
