Defence Headquarters has reported a fierce encounter between troops and Boko Haram insurgents in Adamawa State in which both sides suffered casualties but more heavily on the side of the terrorists. The encounter took place on Tuesday, according to a report on the official website of the Nigerian military.
“Troops in pursuit of terrorists had an encounter with a group of them at Muva Junction,” the report said. It disclosed that “the fierce encounter resulted in substantial casualties including loss of lives & equipment on both sides. An armoured Personnel Carrier used by the terrorists was destroyed in the fight, while General Purpose Machine Gun, Rocket Propelled Grenades, rifles, IEDs, & ammunitions as well as, bows, arrows, locally made pistols & guns captured from them have been taken into custody.”
The report also disclosed that “troops have continued their advance backed with highly coordinated air strikes against the terrorists. Communities & locations such as Garkida, Vimtim, Kumare-Uba, Mararaba, Mubi, & others are also under regular patrols & surveillance to secure them against any resurgence of terrorist activities.”http://newsexpressngr.com/news/detail.php?news=8585

its against dis criminals' creed to die peacefully, each time they lie low, we know they re plotting something dangerous & suicidal. But I hav a dream, a dream dt one day, our military wd av all necessary resources, courage& locals`support n take d battle to their dens & finish d whole madness once n for all. enough of dis decimating our gallant officers bit-by-bit. seems d strategy of cordoning off, blocking their supply sources isn't working. Routes to sambisa frm neighbouring countries like cameroun n chad ar just too many &leaking.
